Very unpleasant stay!
The hotel looks to be very old the wallpaper is pealing in the hallways.
The internet didn't work. I asked the staff about the internet and they said the router is only on the even number floors. They recommended we change floors.
We chose the hotel for our family vacation based on the waterfall in the pool. Unfortunately it wasn't working... We were told at check-in it would be fixed in two days. It still wasn't fixed by the end of our six day stay. They mentioned it was too costly to fix. I feel like we were lied to at check-in and they never intended on fixing it. We met a fellow guest in the pool who stays at the hotel regularly and he said in the previous week the waterfall was working: however, the hot tub was not working.
We asked for a banana at breakfast and were told they were too expensive to buy so the hotel was out of bananas.
It is sad that they didn't want to spend money add comfort for their guests or maintenance to the property, however, the guests are still paying full price to stay at the hotel. On the bright side, they upgraded the horrible cable system during our stay.
I feel bad for the other guests. I was fortunate enough to use Priority points for most of the stay.
I will not be back to this hotel nor would I recommend it to a friend.
I also had a hand thrown in my face for speaking out of turn by the information desk person in the lobby. Very rude!!!

I came to Orlando for pre-op testing, and needed to stay at a hotel with a microwave and frig. Also I needed to be able to secure a late checkout due to my hospital stay. We were most comfortable at your hotel and made my otherwise difficult two days much easier to bare.

Good location if you are looking to be close to the Disney parks. Lots of great places to eat close by. Cons-this hotel sits beside a strip mall and an abandoned bulding next door, other than that, it was an ok place to stay. The hotel is very clean, the rooms were clean, comfortable beds and free breakfast!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by foote Good price - good room - fair front desk
Front desk must have been having a bad day on Feb 23. Not cordial or welcoming at check-in (just before 3PM).
Switch from soap to body cleanser is not suitable for me. I still had to ask for soap each day.
Pancake maker at breakfast is cute - but the pancakes are lousy; most hotels have a waffle iron that is much, much better.
I sure wish someone would provide a real, local newspaper, by the way... .

Hy husband & I stayed here 2 nights while visiting Disney for a special weekend event. (The Princess Half Marathon). We chose this particular hotel because of its close proximity to Epcot and because their write up stated they had a free shuttle service to the park. After we arrived, we discovered the "shuttle" took passengers to the park in the morning and it was your responsibility to reserve a seat for your return in the afternoon / evening, when you call the phone number associated with the service you never get a human - only "You have reached the Sprint mailbox of" and the number you had dialed. There was no indication that you had even called the shuttle service. We chose to not take a chance on it. Additionally, they supposedly have free hi speed wireless Internet. NOT! We had no signal on the 7th floor and in the lobby a very weak signal. We asked the front desk staff about it but got little more than a shrug. They didn't know or care if it was working. In the evening of our second day both of our room keys had been deactivated so we had to go back down to the front desk to straighten that out. We were never welcomed or recognized as Priority Members and, in fact, we had the impression the staff didn't really care if we were there or not. The room was clean however the building's age is really showing. The shower head was so corroded the stream was a single hi pressure jet. I would not bother with this hotel again! There are too many other choices in the area.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Cory123 Not my usual HI experience, but OK
Clearly a renovation job on an older hotel. Damp, musky smell of the past, but not totally intolerable. The fitness room is seriously lacking, which is something I value greatly. Two broken down basic treadmills and no free weights at all or universal machine. Small fitness space as if it was an after thought. No mention of my priority club status or traditional water or gift at check-in. With this one its all about location and proximity to Disney, which is enough to recommend. I was on business and found it just ok.

Surprised that this express was not maintained as well as other expresses I usually stay at. Bathroom door was to long so the floor mats would catch. The the wood panel had gotten wet a was peeling up from the bottom.
I don't think the elevator floor was ever mopped the three days we were in and out.

We stayed here in January when we moved our daughter to Orlando, she is in the Disney College Program. We were very pleased with the staff (except the night maintenance person) but the rest of the stay and staff made up for the bad. We are going back in May and reservations are already made. Jesse (front desk) is very professional, friendly and nice dresser. I like the location, pool and hot tub.I wish I could remember the name of the manager on duty (the first night) who came in and made sure the issue we had was taken care with a smile (at us anyway, not sure she was happy with the maintenance person).

Upon our arrival we found out that our reservation had somehow been canceled but Jesse(the front desk) reinstated it with no issue what-so-ever. Jesse was deffinately a perfect example of how costomer service should be!
As far as the room, the halls were quite warm and I'm not sure why. The room was good for the price but the beds were quite hard. We had a fantastic view from our balcony. The breakfast was adequate but seating was an issue as it was very busy. My only complaint would be we were able to hear everytime our neighbors would go out because the door would slam so hard. Overall it was a pleasurable experience, just wish the beds were more comfy.

ROOM WAS VERY ROOMY AND CLEAN. BREAKFAST TASTED GREAT AND HAD MUCH VARIETY. STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL, ESPECIALLY "JESSE" WHO WORKED THE FRONT DESK. HE ACKNOWLEDGED MY PRIORITY STATUS UPON CHECK-IN, ALWAYS WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS, HELPED US WITH SEAWORLD TICKETS WHEN THE REPRESENTATIVE WAS NOT AT HIS DESK. GAVE US DIRECTIONS, AND ALWAYS DRESSED IMPECCABLY! WE LOVED HIS BOW TIES! HE IS AN ASSET TO YOUR HOTEL AND DESERVES THE EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR AWARD. THE ONLY NEGATIVE ABOUT THE HOTEL, AND THIS IS MINOR, WAS OUR SLIDING DOOR TO THE BALCONY WAS VERY HARD TO OPEN.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by bomama1 Room was nice, bed was comfortable.
Room was very nice and clean....however our stay was not very pleasant!! First after leaving the room and coming back our doorkey would not work. Had to go back downstairs to get 3 more keys and then they also sent maintenance man up with us to make sure they would work. Rainhead shower head was so clogged up that it was just a big clump of steady stream coming out.....like standing under a garden hose! Pillows on bed were marked as soft, medium and firm, but all were extremly soft and took 2 or 3 to make one decent pillow. Also when we had left to get something to eat and returned there was no place to park....most of the parking lot was blocked off as they were paving the parking lot the next day. When asked where we should park was told to park in the blocked off parking spots, but vehicle would have to be moved by 8am. Recieved a 7am phone call to move the vehicle!!! Also watching a littleTV before going to sleep...tried to turn off TV.....remote would not work!!!!! Called down to desk to see if I was possible doing something wrong. They sent maintenance man up again with new remote, but when I opened the door he came in and spent time messing with both remotes and ended up having to pull the TV out and fix something on the back to get them to work again.....all the time with me standing there in my pajamas and my daughter and granddaughter asleep in the other bed!!!!! Also when contacted Corporate office I got a reply stating that Management and Owner had been notified.....have not as of yet recieved even a reply email or an apology for conditions/ inconviences during our stay!!!!
Have always LOVED Holiday Inn Express, but not so sure, may give other hotels a try in the future!

The check in staff are very welcoming and willing to help. The property is an older one. The thick walls and floors are great for silence - noise from other rooms. Rooms are large. The room is ready for a refresh. The fan was a little noisy turning on and off through the night. The furnishings are older. The internet is fast.
If traveling for leisure, the pool facility is pretty cool with a waterfall feature and a water slide. Again, the staff are great.

The free breakfast buffet was even better because of the staff like Santa who was effecient, and very attentive to people and details. The hotel was quiet and restful even when all the rooms were occupied. It was close to Disney and within walking distance to several stores.

We checked in and stood in the Priority Club express area and had to wait a while to check in. The clerk was friendly and attentive but she was alone so check in was slow.
No perks for Platinum Priority Club member. Not even a bottle of water. Surprised at that since we always get a bag of goodies. Breakfast room is too small for their crowds. We sat in a dingy "conference" room to the side. Could have more seating.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by EdR13 Good value & nice stay!
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Buena Vista for two nights in connection with our visit to Orlando’s Seaworld. It has excellent proximity to Seaworld – about a 10 minute drive on surface streets. It always has great access to Disney World.
As Priority Club members, we stayed on the 7th floor of the property. We had a large room with a microwave and small refrigerator. The bathroom was small and a bit dated but it was workable as long as only one person was trying to access the sink and/or mirror area.
Upon arrival in the room, we had a “welcome gift” waiting. It was an old-fashioned popcorn tub that had some neat items inside: microwave popcorn, two bottled waters, Sun Chips, a granola bar and a bag of peanuts. It was a nice surprise!
The Holiday Inn Express breakfast is always good with lots of choices. The breakfast room was very large and had two areas for each of the various hot & cold breakfast choices. Hot items included small cheese omelets, breakfast meats (they rotated between sausage & bacon), biscuits, sausage gravy, pancakes and cinnamon rolls. Cold items included cereal, yogurt, boiled eggs and a variety of breakfast breads & muffins. Coffee, various juices and milk (regular and fat free) were available. Everything was kept full and fresh and it was a great way to start the morning.
There were only two negatives associated with the hotel. The wi-fi (at least on the 7th floor) had a very weak signal and response time was terrible. The PC available near the Front Desk was somewhat better but still didn’t have great speed. Then, there is a “Guest Services” desk off the main lobby which should not be mistaken as a Concierge Desk. The individuals at Guest Services tried to get us to attend time share presentations (very pushy) and did not offer the Concierge Services such as driving directions, dining ideas, etc. All other staff members were friendly and helpful.
Overall, we had a good stay and, if proximity to Seaworld (or Disney World) without having to hassle Orlando freeways (or the numerous tollways) is important, the Holiday Inn Express is a good fit.

Courteous front desk clerk until I asked for a copy of my receipt. He said since I reserved online they don't offer a printed copy. Funny, the Holiday Inn in Gainesville did. I found this to be poor customer service. I needed the printed receipt while I was there. In addition I had accidentally deleted my original e-mail. Your front desk clerk told me it was my responsibility to keep up with it.
The store was never open at the time the sign on the door said it would be. The "clock" on the door said the store would be open at 6pm. I made several trips down there from my room until 7pm and I never saw it open.
The breakfast was good...nothing to complain about.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by DisneyAgain Another basic weekend at Holiday Inn Express.
This Holiday Inn Express is par for the course....some bad and some good. We have stayed at this location several times and keep coming back because of the breakfast, the good rate per night, distance to the Disney parks, nice staff, and the fact that all five (two adults, three children) of us can stay in one room. We have had issues with the rooms...but you get what you pay for... and a really good breakfast that gives picky kids plenty of options.
The issues we have had are the smoke alarm going off when you turn on the heat, sliding door not locking, sliding door being very...very hard to open, front door not fully locking, broken alarm clock light that lit up the room (the kids liked this) and you could not set the correct time, wanting adjoining rooms with the grandparents and not getting them, very noisy mini fridge, shower that leaked all over the floor (yes the shower curtain was closed), and the water slide has a few large holes in the coating that left rub-burns on the kids.
Do not let the above items fool you into not booking a room. We will be booking room(s) here for at least three stays in the next two months and maybe more. As I said before we keep coming back because of the great breakfast, very nice staff, low price, proximity to the major Disney parks, and sleeping for a family of five (we bring our own folding cot). Each time we stay I am amazed at how nice the staff is...from the check in staff to the cleaning crew...everyone is so nice.
For weekend stays we spend our days at the Disney parks and then show up well after dark so there is not much free time spent at the hotel. It is a place to take a shower, lay your head, and eat a great breakfast to get ready for another day at another park. Repeat the process and have a great time in Orlando.

We stayed with our 2 young kids for 2 nights. The outdoor pool is great...the kids loved it. Breakfast was included which was the standard fare with all Holiday Inns. The only problem was that our room didn't smell great. It was kinda musty. I think it was the air conditioner as it was on when we got into the room. We turned it off and the smell dissipated. Also, the sink in the bathroom was clogged so the water wasn't draining properly. We reported both problems to the front desk, but nothing was done about it. Other than that, our stay was enjoyable.

Our stay at the Holiday Inn in Lake Buena Vista was great. The free parking and free breakfast is definately a perk. The breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly. This is a pet friendly hotel, therefore we were able to take our small Boston Terrier. The room was clean, however, there was a strong smell of dog in the room. We opened the balcony, but were unable to get the smell out. I guess that should be expected of a pet firendly room, however, I wish the room didnt smell that way. Good thing is that the 2nd floor is the pet floor, so visitors with no pets will not have this issue. The location was great; very close to restaurants and Downtown Disney with a short drive to the parks. Will stay here again, I'll just leave my dog at home.

This hotel was very comfortable, clean and priced right. The continental breakfast was great for my three children with tons of choices. The rooms were spacious and very clean; bathroom was a bit on the small side, but worked for us. Pool with the slide was nice, but the slide is not open until 4pm, so kids didn't like that. I would suggest letting parents supervise kids as they slide. When we were visiting, the lady doing the supervision was picky, so made it not as fun for the kids. Workout room was average, but did the job. When we stayed, the hotel was not busy, so we usually had workout room and pool to ourselves. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I read reviews on this hotel before we came and was concerned about pets, noise and cleanliness, but none of these were issues. This hotel was great and we will stay again. Perfect distance from Sea World and Disney.

We had requested a low floor when makinng the reservation. When we arrived the front desk clerk said that we were on the top floor and nothing else was available. I told her that I put it in the online request but she said that means nothing, it's first come first served.
The temperature had dropped so we put the heater on at night and the smell was terrible. The smoker detector also went off due to the smell from the heater. I tried to call down to the front desk but did not get an answer so we just kept it off and dealt with a cold sleeping room.
It is not somewhere I would stay again.
