Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dirty room When my wife sat down to read, she moved the ottoman and found a pile of corn chips under it. Entertainment gone down center was quite dusty. Blanket on bed only came up to our waists. We had to remake the bed so that blanket covered us to our necks. Breakfast room frequently ran out of food, orange juice and decaf coffee. They did not have any unsugared cereals out. I had to ask for a packet of unsweetened oatmeal, which they gave me. This property has gone down hill since our last visit and we will stay somewhere else on our next visit to Oro Valley. February 12, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Newer hotel but no sound proofing Formerly a Wingate turned over to Holiday Inn Express. I made a request to check in 40 minutes early and was summarily denied on a slow day.. The hotel rooms were clean but you could hear talking, footsteps and the like through the walls. An excellent location with Chilis, a convenience store and sandwich shop within walking distance. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by A Disappointment We opted to pay more for a King Suite, so immediately upon entering the room I was disappointed to find cramped quarters, but I figured it was what it was and wasn't going to say a word about it. The bathroom sink had a large crack running all the way across it. Again, it wasn't the end of the world. However, when I set the heat to 70 and the fan to run on high and I was awakened every time the heat cycled on and off because it also turned the fan off and on, I had reached my limit! Even though I had taken a sleeping pill when I went to bed, I was awake multiple times throughout the night and did not feel rested in the morning! By now I'm thinking where is this promise of a good stay? "If your stay isn t satisfactory, we promise to make it right, or you won t pay for that part of your stay." As I was telling my husband I planned to report it to the front desk, he said "you might also want to tell them I found an empty shampoo container in the shower this morning." The room had not been cleaned properly. Additionally the toilet seat was broken and sliding all over the top of the porcelin. I reported these issues Saturday morning, Sunday morning and Monday morning, with varying degrees of success. The AC/heat unit was never repaired and we were told they are like that in every room. Monday morning the manager offered to adjust our bill. It appears the price was adjusted down to a standard King rate…we appreciated the adjustment but don't plan to return to this property. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by late arrival We called in advance to say that we would be arriving after midnight. We had a lost luggage problem and arrived after 1:30 in the morning. Martin at the desk was very efficient, wide awake, and genuinely sympathetic about our lost luggage. The other staff members we encountered during our four day stay which was just after Christmas were also very friendly and efficient. January 7, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice place to stay We liked this hotel except the first morning we ran out of hot water for a late morning shower and the water pressure was not great. Other than that the room was very nice. We did not use the breakfast facilities so can not comment on that. January 2, 2014
