Hotel is old and continues to have issues with pool area and broken pipes. Slow check in and fire alarms await your stay.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ieee2015 Great Service and Location
Stayed here three nights on business and then needed a fourth night. Most hotels were booked up and looked on line and this hotel was booked as well. Pulled in anyway and talked to the nice lady at the front desk who had checked me out earlier that morning. She was able to find me a room for another night. The rooms are clean the staff is very friendly and helpful. Thanks for the great service.

This hotel was so accomodating under the circumstances that my husband had that day that I would recommend this hotel to anyone who need to stay somewhere, whether for business, pleasure or emergency. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are immaculate. The Complimentary Breakfast in the mornings were sooooo good my husband didn't need to worry about driving in bad weather to find a restaurant to eat breakfast at.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by LM30 Smoke smell is terrible
This hotel is located near an area I frequently work at, but I will generally drive further to stay at an alternate Holiday Inn Express because of the general smoke smell throughout the hotel. When the alternate hotel is full, I will book non smoking rooms at this hotel. On my most recent stay, I booked a non smoking room, but my reservation was edited by someone on the hotel staff to a smoking room. When I got up to my room and smelled the smoke and realized that I was given a smoking room I called the front desk. I was told the hotel was sold out of smoking rooms. When I mentioned that I had booked a non smoking, the front desk person checked my reservation and said that I had not specified that and that there was nothing she could do. I spent one night of 4 planned nights, before checking out. After the one night in the smoking room I woke up with congestion and a headache. I moved to a further hotel, that is 20 miles further from where I work in poor winter driving conditions. The smoke smell is present even in non smoking rooms, but tolerable. Having a reservation changed by staff, being put in a smoking room and then being told it was my error and there was nothing to be done about it is simply unacceptable. The rooms at this hotel are old and outdated. It has the worst smoke smell of any holiday inn express I have ever stayed in. Its what I would expect from a lesser brand and does not meet the image of a HIE.

I just stayed in the sister holiday inn less then 20 miles away and they would not give me my corporate discount. This is the same franchisee owned property.
It was not updated and not a great stay. The staff was the only saving grace.

Great staff and clean room. Not my first stay at this hotel and I do plan to return. Decent location with plenty nearby to visit.

We were traveling when the weather made a serious turn for the worse. We made a quick reservation while on the road and showed up at the hotel about 30 minutes later. We were greeted like old friends. The staff was absolutely great, the room was clean and comfortable. Exactly what I have come to expect from Holiday Inn Express - which is why they are my "go-to" hotel of choice - even in a blizzard.
