Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by First time staying at the Nepean HIE I've stayed at HI/E's multiple times for regular business travel. Overall cleanliness was excellent. Check-in was a breeze - my room key was pre-assigned with a free upgrade to a King Suite. Elevator took a little longer to arrive compared to other HI/E's, but bearable. Bed was comfortable and the padded headrest was a nice touch. Breakfast had a good selection - unfortunately the pancake maker was malfunctioning and got fixed as I left. Checkout was easy with the invoice/receipt slipped under my door. I would definitely stay here again. March 19, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 2nd Stay and Love It I book the travel agent rate for this property in February and I had a lovely stay with my parents. I really like this hotel, I love it. I enjoy how clean it is, staff is so nice and friendly, Daniel & Lindsay. The breakfast options are lovely. The pool and hot tub is great. I stayed here March 8th for 2 nights again with my parents and had the 2 Queen Bed Suite with pull out sofa again, and enjoyed the stay so much. Lovely Hotel. Love the Travel agent rate, what a great place. Subway is across the street, other food options and also McDonalds at the corner or Moodie/Robertson road. Grocery store is next to the hotel. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by room king size bed the room was clean and the bed was comfortable however there was no toilet paper on the roll the cleaning staff came in before check outtime when our belongings were still there:( when i on-line booked ithought i was booking in kanata but was informed when i got there that i was i was booked at a different hotel in nepean which was farther away from the function we were attending. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A very comfortable two week stay I tend to stay in IHG hotels; I must admit that I really enjoyed this particular hotel. You pull into an ample (and free) parking lot, and proceed to do your check-in with efficient, friendly staff in a nicely decorated lobby. Getting into your room, you see a comfortable bed, a nice big-screen TV with lots of channels, and get set up with a very fast wireless internet. Wanting to relax, you can go into the hot tub and pool - hardly anyone was using it while I was there (bonus!) Of course, there are times that you want a good workout. Although there are multiple machines, I focused on the 2 treadmills and the elliptical - all gym-quality. You also have a decent breakfast included with various grain-based foods (cereals, toast, bagels, etc.), juice, milk, and especially coffee. There are also one option of egg (scrambled or omelette) and meat (sausage, ham, or bacon) for those who like a hot breakfast. If I had one issue, it was that the meat and eggs, although changing on a daily basis, seems to rotate around a 3 or 4 day schedule. Since I was there for two weeks, I was getting a little tired of the repetition. However, you won't notice this if you are there for only a few days. All in all, a very satisfying stay, and I would come back to this hotel again. December 5, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Considerate staff We were visiting Ottawa from Northern Ontario for a medical appointment. Originally, we had been instructed to stay in Ottawa for a night after the procedure. However, the doctor recommended that we start our travel home the same day as the procedure. Despite finding this out well past check-out time, the hotel understood the extenuating circumstances and did not charge us for the second night, although that was what our original reservation was for. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice property indeed We stayed here after the death of my Mother, and the staff were most kind to us. This particular hotel is new, clean and pleasant. It is a bit further from downtown and relevant business locations (for some) but it serves well. Despite the circumstances, we enjoyed our stay. I am a long-time Holiday Inn Express customer; brand loyalty means a lot to me. I have yet to stay at a Holiday Inn Express where any part of the experience was not completely positive. Their recipe is simple: cleanliness, friendly staff, comfortable accommodation and good value for money. October 28, 2012
