I have submitted a review for this location based on a bad experience, but with the 20+ nights I have stayed here I feel I should submit a review on the 19 good nights. First, the hotel is easily visible from the highway but difficult to find. It is situated beside Place D'Orleans mall, which is great if you are a shopper. The rooms are usually large and clean, the beds comfy, and the noise minimal. I have yet to be welcomed as an IHG member, perhaps once being asked if I wanted the welcome points or the bottle of water. I see from other reviews that the manager recognizes IHG members when he comments on reviews. I also wish they would fix their key-card machine, as every single time, one of the keys does not work and I've given up returning to the front desk. This meets and even exceeds my expectations of a Holiday Inn. Close to everything you need, and unfortunately located behind a civic center and the patrons use the hotel parking, leaving little or no room for guests. On more than one occasion I have had to go out after 10pm and move my car from parking down the road, to a spot at the hotel. Perhaps they could enforce the parking, since you have to provide your vehicle info on check in.

I stay at this location frequently, and I would rate it well overall....however the last stay was a bad experience. I make my reservations weeks in advance, so when I checked in around 10pm, I was given a room and expected to be asleep quickly. I opened the door to find guests asleep in the bed. It was a scary experience for them, and an embarrassing moment for me. I returned to the front desk and asked for a different room. Not once did the lady at the desk apologize. I asked how that could possibly happen when the room assignment is computerized and her explanation was :"usually IHG members reservations are pre-printed and they didn't so I gave you a room" I asked for compensation for the guests in room 318. No reply from her. I was not greeted as an IHG member. I was reassigned a room that had garbage on the floor and the toilet had obviously not been cleaned. I wanted to go back down and speak with her again, but I felt there was no point based on how she handled my room assignment. I love this location but I may have to reconsider based on the lack of attention and lack of care from the staff this time. There was no manager available for me to speak to and I doubt my review I completed in the room will receive any attention.

This hotel is brand new. Although it is visible from the highway our GPS had some trouble finding it :)
The town around this hotel closes around 8PM ( in winter ). So, if you are arriving late we recommend making preparations for your dinner.
