We were extremely surprised and pleased with this hotel property. From the moment I checked in, the staff demonstrated their professionalizm in an extremely friendly manner. When we got to our room, we were very pleased with the cleanliness and overall quality of the room. In the morning, we had breakfast before we hit the road. The food was fresh with a nice selection.
As mentioned, we were so pleased with this experience that on our way home from San Antonio, we looked specifically for a Holiday Inn Express in Roswell New Mexico.
From our point of view, the experience and comparison of these two properties is 180 degrees. We were extremely pleased with the Ozona property, while we were extremely dis-pleased with the Roswell property.

I stayed for one night on 26 July 2013. There was only one person working and she did a great job managing a very busy front desk. She kept her cool and remained polite and helpful juggling a line of people checking in and the phone ringing constantly. Impressive! The power went out for a while due to storms but all remained calm. A very nice staff and I had a pleasant stay.

We stopped here on our way back home because of an excellent stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Las Cruces, NM a week earlier. The welcome was okay, but not as I expected. After checking in, we went to our room (106) and notice a faint peculiar odor that we decided to overlook because we were tired and had already started unpacking our overnight bag. We went to dinner and noticed it again when we returned to the room. It was not overwhelming, so we decided to just stay and we eventually stopped noticing it. After some thought later the next morning, we decided not to mention it to the staff at checkout because we leaving and not staying another day. It sort of smell like urine in the entry by the bathroom.

We stayed at the Ozona Holiday Inn for 2 nights. The first night was very comfortable.
The second day we left, then came back to the room later that afternoon. Only one of the beds were made ??????? There were no clean towels, the trash had not been taken out. We went to the front desk to complain and they told us we had already been in the room. So basically I was being called a liar. Then she checked the Maid's Log... and said Yes, It was cleaned.
Then I tried emailing the manager. The email address listed on the business card was a failure and the phone number was the front desk.
I would say... Service was lacking.

I could not have asked for a better place to lay my head. I was an extended guest and my every need was met. Friendly receptionists and the Manager is great! And Jorge helped me put my bags on the cart without having to be asked!! I would recommend this hotel. And, the bed is great if you have a bad back. Great atmosphere!

When I travel for business I stay at Holiday Inns and Holiday Inn Express locations, this hotel is very inviting from the outside. I would have to say that 85% of there guests are all oilfield workers. The parking lot is smaller that other hotel locations and has limited parking due to the side access 18 wheeler parking lanes . . It can be frustrating to get a full nights sleep due do oilfield crew members up at all hours of the night and cycling shifts in and out of the rooms.

The ladies in the breakfast area were delightful. We really enjoyed their cheerful attitudes and helpfulness. Loved the pancake maker. 1st time to try it.
However, the experience with the Priority Club 888 number was horrible. Person barely spoke understandable English and when I requested transfer to a US person or a supervisior, I was put on hold for quite a long time. Music stopped and I could hear her suffling papers and giggling. Enough is enough with these off shore call centers. Hate the thought of really needing help through your system again!!!!!

We really liked Ozona, the people are old fashionedly mannered and welcoming. If your a history buff take the time to go here and be sure to visit the jail for a really eye opening experience.

We cannot thank the manager and staff enough for their hospitality, kindness, and care. My wife & I stopped for the night prior to a snowstorm and were truly blessed to find this Holiday Inn. The manager is definitely one who cares about customers and providing a superior experience for every guest!

I was pleased to find that this hotel did not allow pets as per their sign-in agreement. However, I was awakened by dogs barking in several different rooms surrounding mine. I hold no grudges against dog lovers & their charges, but I do think that their habit should be treated as we now treat smokers. Keep the smell outside as well as the droppings. I have never been awakened by a cigarette user coughing. But my sleep has been disrupted often by barking animals.
If a property advertises "no pets", it really should live up to that promise (instead of saying "Just bring it in the back door & keep it quiet."

I considered the cost of this hotel extremely out of line with comparable properties. I felt I was victimized with a late check-in and charged something totally out of line.
Check-in was handled in a very unprofessional manner. She obviously did not care if I wanted the room by her "take it or leave it" attitude. She was very distracted by other hotel guests who were lounging in the front lobby.
