Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice amenities The room resembled a mini suite e.g. besides a comfortable, over-sized bed, there was a couch, desk and mini refrigerator which made for a pleasant stay. The wait staff was pleasant & helpful. The Continental Breakfast was more than adequate with one exception - I don't care for powdered eggs. I would, wholeheartedly, recommend this Inn to everyone. (I have stayed at this Inn several times in the past and plan to in the future.) June 7, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by they put charges randomly on your credit card! When I made my reservation using reward points, I was told I could bring my miniature aussie puppy for a $20 charge. After I returned home and viewed my credit card bill, I had one random charge for 22.60 and another for $50.00. When I called the hotel I was told the pet fee was ALWAYS $50.00 no exceptions. I went back and looked on the website for that specific hotel and it says "$35.00 for small dogs only with managers approval". I checked in with my dog and never did anyone say anything about him, except how cute he was. The agent also told me on the phone that they had accidentally charged me $22.60 and they didn't know why, but it had been credited back that night. My card does not have a credit for that amount! She did say she would "look into it and call me back". When I called guest relations for priority club members, she only referred me back to the hotel's manager, even after I told her that I had gotten nowhere talking with her. I think these people need to get their act together when taking liberties with a loyal customer's credit card (we are gold members who travel alot, we can always choose another hotel chain). My room was clean, but the bed was not comfortable. June 7, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by not good The rooms need more plugs like plugs on the table lamps for electronic devices. The pillows are to small and need firm ones. I stayed in room 104 and the room next door had loud music at 10 pm. Woke up to no lights in the morning. Need different kind of breakfast. Always the samething. Need more healthier foods. Like the fruit and yogurt. May 30, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Did my mom tell you I was coming? I have come to trust Holiday Inn Express for good, clean rooms and a professional atmosphere. However, my recent experience at this one in Palestine has been remarkable. The staff was completely there to make my experience the best it could be. Of course, they fully satisfied my expectations with regards to to room and the breakfast quality and selection. However, they also doted on me and my family in a wonderful way. Whatever need we expressed, they were ready and willing to help find a solution. We absolutely felt at home. There is some special chemistry among the staff. Fantastic experience. We'll be back! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great experience We arrived here at midnight after an exhaustive journey. 10 hours flying from England to Dallas, tthen here were major delays at DFW which meant we did not collect our rental car until 9pm instead of the 5.30 it should have been. We then had to drive to Palestine in the dark. We finally arrived at this wonderful HIE, we were greeted by Gwen and Mike on the desk who were so kind and helpful it almost made being awake for 20 hours worthwhile. We were quickly in our room and bed where we slept very well. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet, just what we needed. The next morning we partook of a very good breakfast, there was plenty of choice, hot and cold. Unfortunately we were only able to stay one night as we had to be elsewhere the next evening, but we did spend the morning in Palestine and a charming little town it is. Hopefully one day we willl return, and this is where we will stay. May 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel with wonderful staff We arrived here very late and exhausted after a nightmare at Dallas Airport, we were met at the desk by Gwen & Mike who were kindness itself and did alll they could to assist us. Our room was very clean, comfortable and quiet, just what we needed having been awake for 20 hours. We were only here for one night but would definitely return if in the area. May 25, 2013

Owned and operated by a very nice family who lives next to the hotel and they work there every day...and it shows in the pride of ownership and the service to the customers. By far the best Holiday Inn I can remember staying in for a long time, big city or small. May 6, 2013

When we left, I asked that the manager consider a policy for NO SMOKING near the front entrance of the motel .... otherwise, everything was great! Thank you! April 25, 2013
