Right across the street from the metro and from there you can get to all the major attractions in Paris. Great restaurants everywhere and KFC and McD right accross the street for the kids. Excellent breakfast, we loved it and it was free to boot. The front staff was very, very helpful i was allowed to borrow the electrical adapter for free and on the last day after check out to store our bags until 7PM. I used my priority points to pay for our rooms and got free internet and late 2pm checkout. Front staff was always courteous, friendly and helpful. Sooner rather than later i will be back in Paris and will stay here again.

How can you deliver a smoke room for a no-smoker ?
It was impossible to change. Sleep in a smoke ambiant is a very bad experience. So , I'm very unsatisfied for this hotel and if you want a safe and clear room to relax , choose another place.
The proof of reservation was no - smoking room notified...

I travel to Paris twice a year and always stay with Holiday Inn chain. Most Holiday Inns including Place D'italie are well priced for this city, clean and stuff professional. Beside France I always try to use the chain while traveling a lot to the US or my home country of Mexico as the standard is very similar through out the world. I know what to expect and it is always good value for the money. I have goold membership card so I can stay 2 hours longer and use my points for free accomodation (I staied in London using my points in January 2013 on my way from Mexico to EU).

Staff body language and attitude are very amateurish and rude. (specially the young guy at reception ) . I never experienced so unprofessional and unhelpful attitude from other Holiday Inns of staff.
Extremely noisy room/s. Room cleaning service is radically poor.
The building is old and needs some refurbishment . My overall review is - not worth the money.

This is our second stay in this hotel and our experience was pleasant. The hotel building may not be the most modern, but in terms of value and location, it's one of the best I could find and I would be happy to stay here again. Location is great, just cross the road from Place D'Italie Metro Station and cross the road from Chinatown with nice food as well as supermarket. The WiFi is complimentary and was one of the most reliable during our travel across Europe. Staff were friendly. Not all of them speak English but they were happy to help when you asked. Reading other reviews about unfriendly staff, I guess these things kind of go both ways - if you treat (ask) them nicely and you will likely get the same treatment in return. My experience found the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast variety was not the best, but I wasn't in Paris to enjoy hotel breakfasts and there were still edible stuff like cereal, bread and jam, coffee, juices that can fill your stomach in the morning.

I booked this hotel as we have been to Paris about 8 times and have always used Holiday Inn hotels. I booked a three day trip for a special birthday treat using some points for my daughter and she was very unhappy and disappointed in the treatment that she received at check in and other times. A female member of staff answered the phone as she dealt with the check in procedure and continued to speak to the person on the other end throughout. My son agreed that the reception staff were very sullen and offhand with them both anytime they asked for help or advice, as if the staff couldn't be bothered with them. The hotel premises were as expected and very handy for the metro, shops etc. but staff obviously need more Customer Care training before I would recommend it to others.

I really had a great time at this hotel. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean, room was soundproofed*, breakfast was good (various choice).
I didn't have any fruit for breakfast for I saw one was rooten -be more careful
*on Saturday night, the England karate team was pretty loud in the corridor but that was ok, they were celebrating after the world championships ;)
