If this had been my first stay at HIE it would have been my last. The problems appeared to stem from the fact that there was not enough staff. Those that were there did the best they could, but one person cannot cover all positions effectively.

PRICE GOUGING is the only complaint!!!!!! The oil companies are the only reason the prices are so high.

I really appreciated that the breakfast was ready extra early. The hotel was all I have learned to expect from a Holiday Inn Express.

Our stay at the Holiday Inn Express was easy and relaxing. the rooms were super clean and the mattress and pillows were so comfortable. I lamented not bringing my own pillow at first but loved the pillows provided and slept like an angel. This facility is kept so nice.

A comfortable stay whilst in Pecos. Hotel was fine, though lunch and dinner are outside hotel. In Pecos not many restaurants are open on Saturday evening, but there is a good steakhouse in the centre.

Rooms are nice be prepared if you book a suite and plan to use the sofa bed (they are not usable). Even with a very light weighted person you could feel the springs. Bathrooms have no rough stuff in the tub or mats available from guest services so they are extremely slippery.
A/C unit was off upon arrival and slow to cool.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff welcomed me and they told me about their breakfast and the hours it was avaible. The breakfast was great and the overall stay was ecellent. I will recommend this hotel to my freinds and family.

orange juice was out. front desk woman was rude when asked about this. said all the men who were there drank it. they are workers for the oil fields and natural gas and leave early for their jobs. understandable. another woman came through and still didn't know were the attendant was. eventually another woman showed up and said she went out for orange juice. it was on the counter and was "sunny Delight", which is not up to your standards. there was only standard orange pekoe tea. usually, there is a nice selection. this hotel caters to the workers staying there, and i can understand that, but when you are in the middle of nowhere and you see a holiday inn, you expect certain amenities and standards of service, especially when you see a holiday inn. we paid as much or more as at other of your locations and were very disappointed.

Way too pricey for the area and the staff member that was checking us in wouldn't honor the price on the Holiday Inn website. I had to reserve my room on my phone right in front of her.
The pool was also out of service.

Eight days earlier we stayed for one night and were given a room on the first floor with no smoke stemming from any room which was excellent. When we returned eight days later we were sent to the third floor; and while our room was a non smoking room, the trip to the room on the third floor was full of smoke and not appealing.
I feel that all non smoking rooms ought to be placed on floors that are non smoking adding to the comfort of those who ask for a non smoking unit.

We stopped overnight on Dec. 22, on the way to family in Plano, Texas. We returned to the same facility on Dec. 29, on our way back home in Tucson, Arizona. Upon our return a week later we were greeted by both the folks behind the desk and the breakfast area.
I and my wife would stay there again should we find ourselves driving the 1009 miles.

Overall experience was not terrible but arrived and waited for more than 10 minutes for a clerk to show up at desk to check in. Had to call the hotel number to get her to come to the desk. She was not very pleasant. Beds were clean but bathroom was nasty. Mirror was a mess and long brown hair in the tub and sink and all over the floor. As a Platinum Priority Club Member I would not stay here again

Other than the bed being uncomfortable, the night would have been tolerable if the neighbors were not so loud. The doors banged shut over and over, even after we alerted the front desk.

Staff, didn't have any experience on assisting customers. From check in to departure there was no personnel qualified at the front desk. No receipt was under door and could not get one at the desk in the morning. Finally got a receipt for expenses by calling from home a week later.
Breakfast was slow and cold. Main floor room had water leaking under the wall by the A/C unit. Hotel looked new but felt old and uncared for. Will not stay here again, there are many other options in Pecos and surrounding area. If compared to other IHG HI's this hotel is considered a failure!

Being out where it is, there's no competition.
Laundry facilities were free, but the dryer door was broken, held closed with tape. Staff were helpful and friendly. When the dryer door wouldn't stay shut, the woman at the front desk dried our already wet clothes in the hotel laundry.
The shower controls were weird, and the note explaining how to turn on the shower was on the other side of the room in an inconspicuous place.

Everything was worn and dirty. White socks worn in room were turned black. Hot tub was dirty and cold. Pool was filthy. Elevator was out of order and inoperable. Breakfast room was dirty and food on the floors were not pickrd up. Used laundry on 2nd floor. They had tape for use as dryer door latch. I always try to stay in holiday inns when I can. It seems they are going downhill fast. Need better quality owners and management.. Also very expencive and taking advantage of oil field workers not having many places to stay.

Probally the most unprofessional Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in. Front desk employees were usually watching tv in the breakfast room or building bead things with friends. Breakfast had hard sausage,empty container for gravy and ROCK had biscuits. Hope I never have to stay there again.

Hotel staff is rarely ever at the front desk. I dropped off a bag of laundry one evening to be washed and picked up the next morning and it never got washed. The breakfast here is a joke. The rooms are older and rundown. My night stand had obviously had water dama. And was rorotting out. They only clean rooms in the morning so if you're working nights your room will never be cleaned. The wifi is by far the poorest I've ever tried to use, it would only work if I sat by the door of the room. There are other choices in Pecos and I definitely reccomend choosing one of them.

Ok quiet location but for a recently new HI Express very poorly staffed and maintained. Water leaked under the main floor wall into the room, bathroom fixtures did not work and appeared thoroughly worn out, carpet stained and tore. Staff was complacent, untrained, couldn't give a care attitude. Staff could not print a detailed receipt with 3 associates, after checkout receipt not left under door. Had to contact IHG for receipt and stay point credit even though this stay was professionally booked! Will avoid this hotel if possible since many others are available in Pecos Texas!

Ingteresting! This was the weekend of the Pecos Rodeo. Very busy, rates seemed high, but there was a special event going on next door. Nice clean room, great service. Enjoyed the stay.

The accommodations and service were customarily good, but the guests in the room directly above us were running and jumping on the floor late into the night. They resumed their noisy activity early the next morning. At breakfast, we saw that the guests were five rather rotund people, three of which were young boys.
We reported our dissatisfaction to the hotel clerk, but we do not blame the hotel for the conduct of their guests.
