This was a new location for me. Due to area flooding the Holiday Inns I normally stay in while traveling on business were full. I'll be staying here from now on in this area. It is very easy to get to and has a delicious Italian restaurant directly across the street that I could walk to. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Friendly desk staff rounded out a very good experience.

I have stayed at this property every 1-2 months for the past year. Courteous and friendly staff and good to have a dining location next door and not need to drive.

Kristy provided me with superior room service. Her attention to detail, welcoming hospitality, and efficiency made my stay restful and enjoyable. I felt I visiting family. I especially loved the the baby towel crab which joined the adult towel crab on my bed. Those extra touches made my room very welcoming. Kristy is a superior ambassador for your hotel.

They quit serving hot breakfast 1 hour before the ending time that is advertised and when asked about it, all they said was sorry we need to close up.. The service at the front desk at check in was poor, we kept getting pushed back on our check in date.. The hallways were filthy.

This is a clean property with updated rooms. It's a typical HI Express property that I seek during my business travels. They have a nice work room.
Be forewarned that changing your reservation will cost you some money. I've stayed at dozens of IHG properties over the past 5 years and never ran into the following issue:
They will charge a $75 fee for leaving early. The desk attendant told me this was a personal policy of the property owner. My business travel does not always follow a strict schedule and I often have to add nights or leave early....Again, I've never ran into this fee before and I think it is inappropriate. It is not something I expect as a Platinum member.
It would be one thing if I cancelled out on 3 of 4 nights, but I left 1 night early and was charged the fee.

All was well except for one problem. When the hotel is filled with youth/children ball players on Fri & Sat nights, and they ran the halls until midnight with no help from the parents.......it creates a true problem. Some of us have early morning meetings to attend and lead. This is a higher priced Holiday Inn than the average "Express" so I would expect the hotel management to quiet things down around 10:00 p.m.

The breakfast food was not always full and, when asking for more of something, it seemed like the attendent didn't want to bring any more food out. The coffee in the lobby, there wasn't enough cream and again, when my wife asked for more the attendent did not fill the rack with the cream. Instead, she handed my wife two packets of cream which wasn't even the kind she asked for.

Very clean, nice rooms. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. My daughters softball team was all staying at this Holiday Inn which was very convenient for the Dome. The only thing we wished we could have was a room for us adults to hang out all together and have fun without disturbing other guests. We asked if we could sit in the breakfast room on Saturday nite, but were not allowed to due to breakfast being served at 6am and a baby shower after that that they wanted the room clean for. We offered to clean up after ourselves but were turned down.Instead, we met in one room and heard there were unhappy guests do to our noise. Just unfortunate that we couldn't have fun without disturbing others.

The staff were friendly & helpful, the room was clean & stylish, the pool & hottub were fun & relaxing, and breakfast was yummy with a very prompt restocking & cleaning crew! No complaints, all compliments to this hotel! :)

Rooms were very nice and spacious. We seemed to have a few electrical problems with our room. The cable was out in our room and after my husband spent nearly an hour on the phone with the service people and the front desk, we were told there was nothing they could do. The ringers on the phones also didn't work. They were set to high but didn't work. Exhaust fan in bathroom worked the first night but not the next morning. Other than that, the rooms were very nice.

I have stayed at this HE many times and always received a great welcome and the room was always beautiful and clean. This time when I stayed the Front desk was very unfriendly and short with me. Did not seem welcome at all.

My wife and I are Prioity Club members and have used HIs often. We were visiting family during Thanksgiving and were very disappointed with a cleaning staff that failed to clean our room on Thanksgiving day while we were out. We had put the Do not disturb on the door in the am until we left. As we were leaving, we removed the sign and actually wished the staff a happy holiday as we left. (The cleaning staff was right next to our room). When we returned to our room, we noticed it was not clean. I put the Do not disturb on the door like I normally do and called the night manager for towels. When he delivered the towels he noticed the sign and put it on us and would not accept our explanation. I told him I would discuss it with management the next day.The next morning when we checked out and complained about the cleaning staff. We were accused of lying about the Do not disturb sign. The receptionist was short and very unprofessional. She put the whole issue on us. We will not use this HI Select again when returning to the area. The staff needs to respond to guest needs rather than insisting its not their fault!!!

In my option this hotel is the best in the area, I really don’t stay anywhere else due to the value that you get here. The rooms are always very clean, new condition, the beds & sheets are also always very fresh & clean. The breakfasts is always hot & fresh, with a lot to choice from. They never have a problem upgrading into a suite if they are available and the staff is friendly & kind.

On past trips to Pekin I had stayed at a more expensive hotel in Peoria. However, this time I took a chance on the Holiday Inn Express Pekin and found it to be very good, and my employer was very pleased with the better rate at the Holiday Inn. A big advantage was that it was closer to where I needed to be the next morning, but also I liked that it is quite new, well kept, and in a nice area of town. My only complaint is that the floors seem less soundproof compared to other hotels. The footsteps of the occupant above me came through much to loudly. Next time I will request a room on the top floor.

The room was substandard for HIE - bathroom did not have towel racks, place for toiletries, or clothing or hanging place on bacj of door - sink area had not place to hang wash cloth or towel; AC unit was very noisy and not controled by wall unit.
only good thing was the laundry area - $1.00 per load - wow that was super;
Front desk was not informed.
Cable was changed and no listing was provided to guests.
Not a good reprensentation of HIE

We are Priority Club members and have stayed in HIE from Florida to Anchorage, AK.
This was not up to the standards of HIE.
Rooms were inadequate: no towel bars in shower area; no hanging spots for clothes in shower;
no places to put wet wash cloths or towels near sink area;
AC controls were dirty;
only 3 bath towels for two people ?!?) why not 2 for 2?
Beds were not HIE quality; towels were not Simply Comfort quality.
Not very learned people working front desk, ie area events or restaurents;
During our stay - no one knew about the new internet or cable channels or how to find them.
One thing was a plus - nice laundry facilties.
