Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Business stay Although the hotel was under construction, we had an excellent stay. The staff is top notch and very friendly and helpful. Would have liked to use the swimming pool but could not find it. (did not ask either, my fault). Knowing they are under construction, I will assume the carpets will be upgraded soon. Overall, had a great experience. October 2, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Avoid This Hotel I am a platinum member of IHG and stay at a lot of Holiday Inn Express hotels yearly and this was the worst experience in all of my stays at this chain. Upon arrival, I went to the front desk but no one was present. I knocked and yelled but no one was there. I then went to the house phone and called the front desk with no luck. Thinking that there may have been a robbery, I walked outside and asked if anyone had seen the front desk clerk. A lady (I have her name, if you want it) was sitting out there smoking and jumped up and ran inside to process my reservation. No recognition of my platinum level and seemed to be disturbed that I messed up her smoke break. The room was a sad sight. The carpet was very stained as was the chairs. There was dirt under the bed and lounge chair. The bed was hard as a rock. The bathroom was clean. They are working on the 3rd floor of the hotel so they need to hurry up with this as this hotel is a mess. I would avoid staying here until it is refurbished. September 20, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy A/C Unit The room was nice; the staff was great and the bed was very comfortable. The only negative is that the A/C unit made a clanging noise when the unit kicked in. It was not running smoothly, but it did cool the room, just noisy. August 30, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by In town for Toughman Came to Pell City for a triathlon. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. A lot of athletes were staying here for the race and on race morning the staff started breakfast early so that we could grab a bite and coffee before the competition. That was much appreciated!
