I should have been told about the lobby construction when I made a reservation and about the fact the handicap room I got didn't have a desk in it.

I stayed at this hotel a few times and with the exception of this last trip the stay was always Five Stars. This last trip, the Holiday Inn was without internet service for 24 hours. Internet service is an absolute requirement for any business traveler. 1 or 2 hours of down time can be tolerated, 24 hours of down time is a disaster. A good hotel must have emergency provisions for service interruptions; they should have an internet backup plan, possibly wireless 4G. This is 2015, the cost of a hotel is substantial, and a long term internet service interruption is reason to consider other hotel options.

I would recommend this hotel. It was right across the street from a Walmart...convenient, clean and comfortable.

I have stayed at this location many times in the past without any major concerns. This stay however as a Holiday Inn Spire Member, I was downgraded upon arrival. I had booked a king suite and I was down graded to a standard king. I am not a snob by no means, but I practically live in hotels, so I like to have a little more rooms to relax at the end of the day.
I checked my reservation to confirm I had the king suite the evening before I arrived, after finding out that I was downgraded I called IHG corporate Priority club only to find out that my reservation was changed that morning at 11:00am even though I had it reserved for at lease 2 weeks prior to arrival.
What makes it even worse the next evening I overheard someone checking in and the hotel staff offered them an upgrade to a king suite for an extra fee, after calling the front desk and requesting and upgrade, they told me they just sold their last one about 5 minutes ago as I sit in the standard king room.
About 3 days later I was moved to a king suite and had that room for the rest of my stay there.
I stay at Holiday inn brands at least 150 nights every year and at this hotel at least 35 - 50 day this year alone and this is how I get treated.
What was even worse I had to contact the property manager 3 times over a few days before I even got a response from her, and then she asked what I wanted to make it right, then was gone by offsite until after I had checked out. I have never heard back from them. I am sure I will have to stay at this Holiday inn again due to the location of the facility that I have to work at, but hope to never be treated like that again from this property.

The first time I stayed at this property, I had a wonderful experience. However, this was not quite the case the second time. The hotel has continuously been under construction and has had the entire first floor closed off. This time, my guest room smelled musty and like someone had smoked in it. The mattress was stained, the furniture and carpet was stained, and the air conditioner was not working properly. I was very disappointed compared to my first visit. My hope is that the renovations will extend into the second floor where I stayed and that the problems will be solved.

Although the hotel was under construction, we had an excellent stay. The staff is top notch and very friendly and helpful. Would have liked to use the swimming pool but could not find it. (did not ask either, my fault). Knowing they are under construction, I will assume the carpets will be upgraded soon. Overall, had a great experience.
