Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel Very nice hotel and relatively clean. However, they do need to dust on the top of the headboards, pictures, and everything they must think is out of sight. Lights in the pool area during the day would also be nice. Would definitely stay there again. June 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Relaxing We enjoyed our time and found it to be a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The staff was excellent. Our two room suite was lovely. Our only disappointment was the temperature of the swimming pool. We had our Granddaughters built up for swimming and the water was very cold. Otherwise we were overall very happy. June 21, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exceptional quiet and comfort here . . . We were pleasantly surprised by the quiet setting of this hotel, unlike most situated near a freeway, or highway. We would recommend this location as superior. The town of Pella is extraordinary in that it stays true to its midwest small town personality, long lost by other surrounding towns, like Oskaloosa. This hotel offers clean, comfortable rooms and a friendly, professional staff. Highly recommended! June 12, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable and great breakfast I booked the last remaining King Suite online, but when I got to the room, it already had someone else's shoes and luggage in it. The staff offered a smaller room at a lower rate and with a 20% discount, which seemed fair enough. Hot tub was nice, but I'd've preferred what I originally booked in the King Suite. The continental breakfast was definitely the highest quality Ive ever had at any hotel. Nice pool area and outdoor grill available. Only issue was that children kept coming and going from neighboring rooms, and the sound of the doors closing was relatively loud. I should have requested that my alternate room be placed further down the corridor. June 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff I have stayed at the HIE-Pella many times. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is beginning to show its age and needs to be refreshed. The room cleanliness on this visit was below what I have experienced in the past. The shower curtain was mildewed and stunk. The vacuuming of the room was poor as there were toe nail clippings on the floor from a previous guest. May 24, 2016
