Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Standard hotel room The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-located to the sports facilities in the West Valley section of Phoenix. The rooms were adequately soundproofed and comfortable. There was an adequate variety for breakfast, although the only item which changed day-to-day over my 4-night stay was the hot egg item alternating between scrambled eggs (good) and cheese omelets (mediocre). I had a complaint about the selection of cold cereals. There were 4 of them, all of which were sugared cereals. I asked the front desk rep why they couldn't have at least one non-sugared item among the four, and she said that it was company policy -- something that should be changed. December 12, 2014

They went out of their way and were all cheerful and friendly. The room was clean and spacious. I especially appreciated that my dog was welcome. Great visit! December 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Comfortable, quiet and convenient We've stayed at this location several times when passing through the Phoenix area. The facilities are always in great shape, Parking is well lit and access to either the back or the front side of the building are convenient. Staff is always friendly, courteous and attentive. We look for price specials or AAA discounts when staying at Holiday Inn Express. There is a Cracker Barrel restaurant that is right next door to this location in the event you want more than HIE has in their breakfast selections. This location is also small dog friendly. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing Experience I traveled with a group of 12 people to enjoy Phoenix and surroundings. I was able to book through the internet, 3 rooms (double queens). When we arrive at the hotel (after a 10 hour drive) our reservation wasn't respected, because they didn't have any more double beds rooms! They accommodate us in one double room and two kings size rooms with rollaway beds; but they only had one rollaway bed! If that wasn't enough, one of the rooms was next to the hotel laundry, and the atmosphere inside the room was to hot. I was really disappointed of my experience in this hotel and won't recommend it to anyone. November 21, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff Service My wife had emergency eye surgery on November 12, 2014 in Phoenix. As we are from Yuma, we booked a room at the nearby Holiday Inn Express. The night desk lady, Izzy, looked after our every needs making sure that my wife was comfortable and also made an extra effort to provide us with a ground floor room. The following morning, Wanda, continued the same kind, compassionate service allowing us to remain after normal checkout time so that I could transport my wife directly to her post-op appointment as we had no where to go in the interim. In the past I have always stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and have always been made welcome and comfortable by all the friendly courteous staff throughout my stay. November 16, 2014
