Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JPW303 Comfortable room and great staff
I keep coming back to the Holiday Inn Express in Perrysburg when I work in the Toledo area primarily because of the great staff. The hotel is comfortable, the breakfast always well stocked and they do a good job keeping up with whatever mother nature throws at NW Ohio but it's really the friendly, professional and helpful staff.

Obviously a re-branded facility. It was clean, but the room was cramped with an ancient, noisy, and inconsistent HVAC unit. Must have been from the seventies. It occasionally emitted clanging noises that woke me up. My other complaint was the bathroom is so tight that one must maneuver around the toilet to enter the shower at the end.
Overall, not up to HIE standards.

Very nice stay. The only problem encounter was the quality of the food. It could have been better. Rooms very clean and neat

The room, lobby and the breakfast area were all very clean. The room was comfortable and quiet. Even next to an I-75, it was quiet.
The front desk staff were very pleasant easy to deal with.
The breakfast area was roomy and there was a very nice selection of items to choose from.
The location was great right next to I-80 and I-75.
Overall I would not think twice about staying here.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by OldGuyTom Older Property
This is an older property that is not of the same quality as the more current chain of Expresses. It is a decent place but awkward to get to and from as you have to make u-turns on a busy street to enter the property or to return to I-75 North. The layout is a bit disjointed. Nevertheless, it is clean and quiet and the staff are pleasant. We thought it was a bit overpriced compared to other units of trhe same chain that were newer and more modern.

Arrival of on the property was difficult. Big trucks lined the parking areas. It was a maze trying to get to the front door. Room was small and outdated. Bathroom was little bigger than a closet. The HVAC unit was loud as a truck. Had to choose between sleeping and being cold. On a good note the breakfast was better than most HI Express.

I travel three to four nights a week and am a frequent guest at a variety of hotels throughout the Michigan and Ohio area. Any time I am within 100 miles of Perrysburg I will always stay at the Holiday Inn Express. The staff here really is personable and interested in their guests' well being. The front desk staff, Adrienne, McKayla, Rachel and Michael are my like my family as well as Zack and others. They laugh and joke, always have a smile and are eager to help. I would highly recommend this hotel to any travelers.

The phones didn't work and the alarm clock was also broke. I reported it the night of my arrival and it was fixed upon my return to the room on Monday afternoon. The clock also had been replaced. A Holiday Inn employee tried to fix the phone issuse on Sunday night but he could not repair the problem so he offered me to change rooms but I declined the offer since it was only for one night. The desk employee name was Michael and he handled this situation professionally.
