Not the first time we have stopped here, nothings has changed, still 1st class service and accommodation,
very comfy beds and a good breakfast, what more could you ask for. I can recommend this hotel.

From the outside in, an excellent place to stay.To improve to get a higher praise then they could improve the cooked breakfast selection, have more milk cartons available in the room.....all minor improvements. This place is cheap and worth the money by far.

Booked a room with one double bed.
Arrived. Sign above entrance not aligned. No particular welcome. Was handed my key.
Room had 2 twin beds. Returned to reception. Was told hotel fully booked, sorry. Eventually a room with one large bed was found, next to the lobby door with window to car park on ground floor. Awful.
Dirty carpet, very dirty shower, marks in toilet.
One bed leg had broken off.
British hospitality at its worst. Avoid.

There was adequate parking on arrival. The car park, reception area and the corridors were well lit. The reception staff on arrival and departure were courteous, polite and efficient. The bedroom and bathroom were both clean and tidy as was all the bedding and towelling provided. After a very comfortable night's sleep in a modernly equipped room we were also able to enjoy a balanced breakfast before departure.

I would highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express in Peterborough to friends and family. The staff were all very helpful and understanding, particularly as there had been a problem with my booking. Which was that I had originally only booked for one night, when I later found out that I needed to have two nights. They had to be booked as two separate bookings. Also, the original booking (which was online) was for a double room, but after ringing up to arrange the 2nd room, I was told the original night had been booked as a twin! This was rectified very quickly over the phone, which meant we didn't have to stay in 2 different rooms.
I would like to thank the professionalism of the desk staff, particularly Sophie.
NB: Our checkout date was the 20th not the 19th!!
