Holiday inn express is usualy what it says on the label is what you get. But we found our room to be the last one in the hotel and it smelled as if it hadn't been used for ages.
it had a nasty odour even when you left the window open all day.
the coffee and tea was in very short supply
i hope this is just a one off as we have booked to stay with HIE again

The hotel was really nice and clean but I need internet and it was none existent, even in the lobby. This caused me loads of problems and the hotel seemed to shrug it off. This may not of been a big problem to some people but it was for me!! when are these hotels going to provide good internet as standard? I would stay here again but not until this is sorted..

The room was awfull, smelled nasty, we let the window open while we got dinner to no avail. The rug was wet. After two visits to the front desk we were changed to a less smelling one but I could not relax after the experience.

Stopped at the "Express" as it was cheaper that the nearby Holiday Inn and breakfast is included, breakfast was very good.
I always ask for soft pillows which never materialise, seldom able to tell which is which, this is no different to other H I Express. The bed was too firm for both of us and we ended up sleeping ON the duvet. (similar experiences with other H Inns. Would have loved to eat there in the evening but "Harvester" next was better value for money for food and drinks. In my experience H Inn prices are extortionate for what is being offered.
Staff friendly enough but my deciding reason for recently choosing H Inn / Express over rivals has been cost. I am seriously considering this reason if we get many more sleepless nights !

This is probably not going to be a place to stay in the future, unless everywhere else is booked up. It's relatively easy to get to and has a Harvester next door. The checkin experience was not as good as other Holiday Inn Expresses and was priced more expensive than better Holiday Inn Express hotels.
The room was clean and quiet so no complaints for that, but there was no personal touches that are offered by other sites for priority club members, the only acknowledgment was my name printed out on a piece of paper, not even in a table - fairly unproffesional to fair. This made it rather dissappointing to be honest.

Westayed at Holiday Inn Peterborough to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we walked through the front door, the staff were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. When we booked we asked for a quiet room as we live in a remote village and are not used to road noise, we were given a room on the second floor in an even numbered room to side of the hotel, which had no road noise at all but it was close to the kitchen extractor fans which droned at night. The odd numbered rooms on the opposite side, probably around the 219 mark would have been quieter, we were offered a change of rooms but felt it not necessary because the hotel was busy and we had used the room the first night. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay and will definitely use this hotel in the future because the staff were excellent.

Staying at the hotel on business, the location is very accessable to Peterborough. Plenty of car parking spaces, reception staff were very helpful, the room was spacious and well presented. The breakfast was very good.
