This is the second time we've stayed here
the staff are friendly & polite, the rooms are clean & tidy & the beds are comfortable enough, the breakfast is ok & you get what you pay for, it was cheap considering it was a bank holiday, a bargain! The hotel was busy with couples & families, but also quiet, we stay with our two well behaved dogs in decent rooms for no extra deposit, We will definiteley be returning.

I always stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Peterborough - I find it clean and consistent. The staff are always helpful and polite. I did have a bad experience when my phoned-in booking was made in the wrong name, so it didn't appear that I had a reservation when I checked in. Luckily I remembered the name of the man who made the reservation and the error was identified and rectified, but I would suggest you keep a note of your reservation number and who you made it with just in case (I have had a similar problem connected to a cancellation also). Anyway, I would recommend the HIE Peterborough.

a) Food served during breakfast was not good, especially with the juice served in the machine had run out of gas and was pathetic.
b) In couple of rooms, the light affixed to the wall were not working, and in some rooms the table lamps were not working.
c) In couple of rooms, the shower had run out of hot water.
d) In couple of rooms, the water from the shower had no force and it took ages to take bath.
e) There was no iron box & iron board provided within the room. Believe for the 50 odd rooms there were only 2 iron box to be shared.
f) In couple of rooms, the heater was not functioning properly and there was no response on complaints
g) The internet connection speed was pathetic, and on complaining it was stated that it is being handled by Third party and the hotel authorities were helpless.
h) The internet connection provided was restricted to only 1 hour, which is not acceptable, given that other hotels which charges less than Holiday Inn Express provide 24*7 facility

Suitably impressed, third time we have stayed over a period of years.
Good decor, welcoming staff, dog friendly - perfect for us.

We stayed here for one night. We were impressed by the cleanliness and comfort in the room. Very clean in commual areas. Staff polite and helpful. We expected a continental breakfast and were surprised by the variety on offer. Very pleased and would definitely use this chain of hotels again.

Usual holiday inn standards. Only BAD point was the horrendous smell coming from the sink in room 104. Not so nice when you are brushing your teeth.

I stayed here for one night recently on business. The two gents on reception were very friendly and a credit to the hotel, they made me feel welcome as soon as I checked in.
I had a room at the side of the hotel and this was very quiet, although I did hear guests in rooms facing the dual carriageway complaining of the noise from the road.
The fact that there was a pub alongside this hotel is an added bonus and I enjoyed a good meal there.
Highly recommend this hotel should you be in the area.

Horrible breakfast - rubber sausage, budget baked beans and scrambled egg substitute
Freezing cold shower
Very noisy, possibly a hen-party?
Contacted me on day 1 of a two day booking to ask when I would be checking out?
Good points - won't be going back. Sorry I couldn't be positive, it was an awful stay

Excellent location with Harvester pub right next door.
A nice clean hotel with well equipped rooms.
Breakfast restocked numerous times whilst dining.
Would stay again.
Additional bed was not made up prior to stay even though it was a family room with 4 occupants. However, linen was provided when asked for and the gentleman at reception even offered to make the bed up for us.
Unaware additional bed was a double and with 2 children would have probably preferred two singles or a bed with a pull out one under.
Had a good weekend though and would recommend this hotel without reservation

Very nice clean modern comfortable hotel just off the A1. Chose this hotel due to pets policy and value for money. Not disappointed in any respect. Room clean modern and comfortable. Breakfast very good with ample choice. Harvester next door offers excellent meals at reasonable prices. Would use again and highly recommend.

Dreadful lighting in room, could do with some extra bulbs and avoid room 202 close to air compressor unit, very noisy! And there is no lift.

Have used the Holiday Inn Express several times, both for staying and using their meeting room facilities for seminars etc. The facilities for both were excellent and I have recommended them on numerous occasions both in business and for personal use. If there is one available near where we need to be never hesitate to use Holiday Inn Express.
By the way, nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff, always warm welcome and friendly service. Thank you for making it an enjoyable experience.

Its allways a pleasure, after a long day to arrive at the HIE Peterborough and be greeted by name and your room key card ready and waiting.for you.
The staff are allways friendly and cheerful which helps to make you feel at home when away on business.. For this reason alone i return whenever in Peterborough, despite having a budget that allows me to stay at grander places.
It's all about the people!
The breakfast is adequate and allways ready for an early starter sush as myself.
