Thought the hotel was a little pricey for the area it is in.
Room was nice and comfortable. Would have given a better rating if not for the fact that they charged us double our rate and then I had to fight to get the money back. On top of that, asked if they would call me when it was resolved and they didn't. I figured they didn't want to have to admit they were wrong, since they argued with me for over a half an hour saying that they didn't do it.

We stopped at this hotel as a layover on a long driving trip. There were many other hotels in this same area, but we have had good experiences with Holiday Inn Express, so decided to stay here. Once again, a good decision. Comparable in price to 'not as nice' hotels, with the atmosphere of pricier hotels (and more amenities than those!)

Check-in was great, we were able to add on a connecting room with no problem and the man and woman at the front desk were great. Too bad I never saw those particular people again. The rooms were clean with the exception of a washcloth that was folded up with what appeared to be someone's entire beard on it. Our mouthwash also appeared to be used. The hot tub was missing the knob to turn it on. After waiting about five minutes for someone to appear at the front desk, the lady seemed annoyed I asked for fresh towels. At breakfast we went to pick up some milk for us to drink in our room. I noticed they did not feel particularly cold when I removed them from the fridge, but assumed they were fine. I gave each of my girls a glass of milk and then I fixed one for myself. The experation date was that day but the milk was spoiled. We didn't even try the breakfast after that experience. I was going to let the front desk know about these things when I checked out but after waiting 20 minutes for someone to come out I gave up and left. We even tried calling but the phone went unanswered also. Another guest and I just left our keys on the counter and walked out. Overall I was not impressed and would not really recommend this hotel.

I love staying at Holiday Inn Express, this stay was just not up to par with the experience I've had with other HIE.

The staff is great, but they can only do so much with what they have to work with. The hotel has seen its better days, and is in need of a remodel. Not enough plugs, AC unit not working, furnishings that have seen much better days.
