I could stay at so many other places in this area, we have a home in SC and one in DE and this, and the surrounding area is about 2/3 of the way home, give or take and we always break out trip before Richmond to have an easier trip home the next morning. I would rather stay here than any of the other places within a 20 to 30 or more minutes access. So clean, the breakfast is the best on I-95! and we have never had even a slightly negative experience there. My trip home always includes this stop. Well worth the stop and with that great Mexican Restaurant just a walk away, well, we are happy campers in every way. Well worth the stop. August 1, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not happy The clerk at check in was rude' the first room I got had roaches in it, the second room was dripping water from the ceiling. By the time I got into my third room it was after 1AM and I needed to get up at 6 to go to work. Overall I will not return to this hotel when I return to the area for work again. July 10, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not a Good Experience We recently stayed at the Fort Lee/Petersburg HIX and did not have a good experience. I have been a platinum IHG member for the last year and this was my worst experience at a Holiday Inn Express. The biggest issue that I had was that the toilet did not work. Unfortunately it was the 4th of July so there were no other rooms available to move us into. The staff was very accomidating and allowed us to us the toilet in a vacant room across the hall that was under repairs. The A/C in our room didn't work very well. There was a master bedroom in the back with a closing door that did not receive cold air very well. The room was not cleaned very well. I went to use the coffee pot and there was old coffee and filters from the previous customer. There was also a dank smell in the room. I would not recommend this property. I am told that my reward points will go back into my account but I have yet to see them refunded. July 8, 2015
