Upon checking in the girl remembered us from the last time and was very polite. She passed the time of night
with us and recommended some things to do that
that was going on during our stay there. We appreciated her and her recommendations.

Only issue was with the WiFi which seemed to be subpar compared to the many other Holiday Inn Expresses I have stayed at.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jeraldyn Great service and caring, compassionate staff
I wish I had made a point of learning the names of everyone who made my stay pleasant so that I could recognize them. I'm thankful to Katherine in breakfast, Terri at front desk. These are names I know, but suffice it to say that EVERYONE at this hotel should be acknowledged. Every person showed compassion and a desire to help in any way they could.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by dlg555 A great location!
This is the second time I have stayed at the Hotel. The hotel has been undergoing renovation since I was here last year and apparently it's still going on. The daytime noise was barely noticeable but there is some construction sound during the day. The rooms with 2 double beds are large and comfortable with a desk and a nice chair and ottoman. The furnishings are clean and modern with a fair amount of outlets. The TV is too small for the room and worked well except when you bought a movie. The resolution was not very good. There is free WIFI but at certain times of the day it worked very slowly. I mainly used my cell phone hot spot to create my own WIFI for my laptop. Theirs was too slow. I'm not sure if my room had been upgraded yet but the heating and cooling seemed quite old fashioned. There was no thermostat only hi and low settings so with the heat on the room got pretty warm after a while. Maid service was great during the week days but was spotty on the weekend. I had to call and ask for service twice on the weekend. The free breakfast is adequate but don't expect a great meal. However it is convenient, fast and free! There is coffee, juice, cereal, bagels, scrambled eggs, etc. For a real breakfast IHOP is right across the street. And Green Eggs is a great breakfast restaurant just down 13th st. The location of the Holiday Inn is the main attraction. It's a ten minute walk from Suburban Station where the airport train runs. There are lots of restaurants nearby and Rittenhouse Square is a 10 minute walk. Access to Philadelphia's great subway system is very close. Lots of stores and shopping nearby. Philadelphia is a great walking city and this central location is a great base at a reasonable price.
