Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding Staff! First of all, the staff is outstanding! Aazhee, gave me great directions in from the Airport and she is a very pleasant person to deal with. Teeza is the brains of the operations at the front desk.. She legitimately cares about the customers and takes the time to learn their names... Brian is the van driver. He will get you where you need to go and he will come and pick you up on time... These are the big three of the hotel if you ask my opinion... July 20, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Another Great Stay ... I stay here every 2 weeks. Staff is extremely courteous! My room is clean ... beds are comfortable ... pillows great !!! Good variety for breakfast. Courtesy van is a plus, plus plus! Love looking out at the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. I do wish they had recycling bins. July 16, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Clean but noisy Clean room, spacious (we had a corner room) but noise from highway was 24/7 (room on 5th floor). Disappointed as I had requested a room in quiet area of hotel when making reservation. Room given at check in turned out to be right next to elevator. Asked for a room change and given room next to highway. Did not sleep 1st night due to road noise. Slept 2nd night because exhausted from previous sleepless night. 3rd night awakened at 4 am by guests socializing in the corridor, earlier in the evening this group had spent 3 hrs slamming doors and socializing in corridor. Called front desk at 4am, security came, party moved inside room, unfortunately this room was next to our room. Shuttle service convenient but on 3rd day driver refused to pick us up, saying it was rush hour and he did not want to leave the hotel to get stuck in traffic. There was no mention at checkin of shuttle service not being available during rush hour. We walked back to the hotel. One of the drivers, Ken I think, did go out of his way to be friendly and helpful. One of the other drivers, didnt get his name, was extremely unfriendly and pretty much seemed resentful at being asked for a shuttle ride. Breakfast had great variety but on 3rd morning staff was not able to keep up with number of guests and food kept running out. Will not stay here again on next visit to Philadelphia. July 15, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff Was a little nervous after reading some recent online reviews about the staff, but we were very pleased with their friendliness and helpfulness on both the day and evening shifts. The front desk staff, especially Shahira, were very pleasant and helpful. Even the shuttle drivers went out of their way to give us tips on the Philadelphia experience. The fitness room could use some updated equipment. Overall, very happy with the stay and will definitely stay there if we return. July 14, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Penn's Landing Hotel was good. The staff was nice, but the room was on the interstate side of the hotel. We sleep with a sound conditioner, but if you don't, pay the extra $10 for a river view room. The hotel is within walking distance to the historical attractions and offers a shuttle. July 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great welcoming staff noisy street We were greeted by a friendly front desk person who quickly got us to our room. The shuttle driver was helpful and friendly as he took us to old town and gave us excellent directions for us to walk back after an excellent dinner and tour of Philly! The hotel,is an easy beautiful walk to old town and the tourist activities of the town. Our view from our room was great. We could see the bridge and the river and port. Stay on that side unless street noise bothers you! We were on the 6 th floor and still heard the cars zip by on the street below us. Though after 9 the volume of traffic and noise was not as noticeable . All in all a nice place, though I missed a swimming pool,or hotbtub and the exercise room is Small. But who needs that if you walk to town.,! July 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel except for parking area All in all the staff was great, hotel room clean and comfortable except for the noise level from outside traffic all night long. Parking was terrible, not enough space and trying to maneuver out of a parking space because of the way the cars were parked was terrible. There were two rows of parking one against the wall and the other against the curve. With this were cars parked sideways either in front of the ones against the wall or behind the ones parked against the curve. Then you try to get out of your space by maneuvering around this. Something should be done about this. If you are not driving then this is a very nice place to stay. July 9, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and great shuttle service WITH ken. The hotel was great. The shuttle was convenient. Bryan, as a driver, was not the best. He was rude and impatient. On the other hand, Ken was a wonderful driver and made my trip worth while. July 9, 2014
