Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Time! This Holiday Inn was very nice and had a very helpful and professional staff. Things were very crazy the weekend we stayed with a packed hotel, a couple of weddings and only one functioning elevator. The staff handled all issues very well and very calm. The breakfast was better than most, but you better get there early because the seating area fills up fast. Overall a nice hotel with a good location and a great staff that makes your stay a special experience. July 30, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Most Holiday Inn Expresses are pretty nice - not this one A bit dirty but not terrible, lousy, lousy parking, good breakfast, friendly staff. Staff allowed a lot of people to loiter at the hotel entrance after a concert. So many that we wondered if we could get into the hotel. The staff did nothing to keep people quiet for more than an hour in the middle of the night in the hallway. Holiday Inn Expresses are usually a good deal for the money but not this time. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good hotel for Philly vacation I often come to Philadelphia for business: this was a first for vacation. We chose this HIE Penns Landing hotel because it was in the Historic District -- we were able to walk to the US Mint, Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, Betsy Ross House, Ben Franklin grave, etc. We also used the Ferry system less than a mile down the street to visit the Aquarium and New Jersey Battleship in Camden. Location-wise the hotel was excellent! it was also excellent for other reasons: clean room, responsive and kind front desk staff and shuttle drivers, good maid service. Two things to mention: how busy this hotel is -- the front desk staff are going non-stop servicing people, how do they keep up? The breakfast room is also non-stop. Quality of food is fine, being a platinum Holiday Inn stayer, I am a little tired of the same old choices for a free breakfast, but that's not the hotel's fault, and all items were cooked and presented well. Good coffee! One downside tot he visit: an elevator was down the duration of our visit, which in such a busy hotel, where the staff also use the main elevator system, created quite a back up and line at times to get to the room. We were on the 4th floor and would often climb the stairs up or down to avoid the long wait. All in all, however, I would recommend this hotel highly and would stay here again when vacationing in the area. July 29, 2015

However, after a full of fun and laughter we were exhausted. We decided to stay at the Holiday Inn Express! I was very impressed the hospitality was awesome, the hotel was very clean, and the rooms were very nice. My husband and I slept really well in fact it was just what we needed a good nights rest. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service and location a little loud and undergoing renovations Outstanding Staff and Service at the hotel. Rooms were comfortable and close to a lot of historic Philadelphia. If your room is facing I-95 than expect traffic noises; however if you stay on the River side, you have a nice view and no traffic noises. They only had one elevator working while the other is being renovated, so it means you might have to wait for an elevator or two to get down to lobby, especially in the morning when people are checking out. There is a cost of $10 for a refrigerator and make sure you reserve one early otherwise they might run out. Overall it was a very nice hotel and I would stay here again. July 27, 2015
