Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Picayune's best Generally our stay was very pleasant. Nice, large room with a quiet a/c. When we checked in, the a/c worked for a while and then cycled on and off every 5 to 10 seconds. The young lady at the desk came and corrected the problem (she wore many hats -- she also serves breakfast). From that point on, it worked well. Breakfast was okay, but not fantastic. This is, however, the best thing Picayune has to offer. October 8, 2013

Everything in room and surrounds were very clean and I would highly recommend staying at this hotel to everyone. In the future, I will always use this site while visiting the Mississippi area. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff This was the friendliest staff that I have ever encountered. The hotel was clean and up to date. Breakfast menu change daily and the food was good. Also had snacks available in the lobby including fresh pastry from a local bakery that were excellent. Rates were reasonable. Good selection of local restaurants and shopping, October 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Why I stay at H.I. E. Consistency. The last thing you want to do at the end of a travel day is play roulette as to the condition of your hotel. Every time I stay at any Holiday Inn Express (which is very often) I know I will be getting an exact duplicate of my last stay in the prior HIE I was in. Throughout the country they maintain the consistency of being clean to the point of obsession, very quiet, comfortable and always having a very courteous and attentive staff. Hot breakfast every morning. Smart and modern decor in the common areas help the overall mood and atmosphere of relaxation. Picayune HIE is a prime example of what I expect in a hotel. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Customer service at it's finest First of all the first h-inn express that was decorated for hallow'een and offered chocolates to guests is winner in my book. The staff and general manager nikhil deserve all the credit. They take pride in providing an excellent service and it shows. The pool was a big success, kids were in there all weekend long. It's conveniently close to New Orleans and Baton Rouge, if you don't want to pay big bucks for a visit and it's a great drive. A definate favorite on my list if going back to Louisianna and Mississippi. September 26, 2013

I had reserved a room in a motel in a different city, but when I arrived I knew it was not where I wanted to stay. So I cancelled the room and drove about 50 miles further that evening. I had stayed in the Holiday Inn in Picayue. Ms before and decided to drive on to what I knew would be a pleasant night of rest in a clean and well run motel. August 29, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by comfy and clean room Night staff was amazing. We didnt get in to town until 10:30pm and they had a crib already in the room for my two year old. Very helpful and quick. Room was clean and great lots of space. And they had deoderant and toothbrushes for us.. which ment a lot becaise we didn't have to dig through the suitcases to fimd them. My only issue was one lady in the morning staff. She wasn't very nice. We were tryimg to get out of the hotel early and breakfast was ready and we still had ten min to seven. The otjer lady said help ourselves. But the other turned and said rudely that they don't open till seven. I said ok and then heard her spatting off about people that can't wait. What am I supposed to think when the doors are open. But when I came back people just walked in and started eating...the lady was so mad. And I never got a good mornimg or nothing. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One night stay on 16 hour trip. Nice hotel not far from interstate 59 off exit 4. Staff warm, friendly and answered all our questions including places to dine. Able to walk to Applebees, 1 block away. Other choices are also close with minimum walking. Clean rooms, nice bedding and breakfast was very good. Checkin and checkout was a breeze. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Superb Service During the 2013 Essence Festival, I had an opportunity to lodge at this hotel; the general manager ensured reservations were accurate prior to the group arriving and service was far beyond my expectations. The check-in process went very smoothly with out no wait time. In additional, the hot breakfast was outstanding. I strongly encourage you to stay here if their services are ever needed. *strongly recommended, looking forward to sharing again in the future. July 12, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by overall evaluation Room was hot upon arrival and did not smell fresh. Once room was cool still did not have a fresh smell. After being at facility started to notice many areas that appeared not very clean. This motel was fairly new and question the quality of it cleaning products that would clean properly to keep a fresh smell. Overall would not stay at this property again. June 15, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Monday ain't the best time to be in Picayune Saw 5 seafood restaurants advertised on one site, found out after we got there they were all closed on Monday .... front desk said Fatty's up the road was open, we went and it was "closed on Memorial Day" (day we were travelling) ... settled for fish filet sandwiches from McDonald's ... anyway, from the looks of the restaurants, we maybe didn't miss much ... also, don't look for wine in Picayune any day of the week ... didn't realize Picayune was so small and not much available ... HIX itself was nice, staff friendly, enjoyed good night's rest, which is finally what we were there for ... next time though we'll stop in Hattiesburg, nicer HIX and more to eat and do ... We were given a room upgrade and it was wonderful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. it appeared to be new or recently updated. Everything was clean and fresh. February 11, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Greetings This Holiday Inn Express markets itself as being close to the Stennis Center. And if you are a contractor or someone with security access, then that is a correct and true statement. However, if you are a civilian or a family looking for the NASA Stennis Center Infinity guest facility, it is a little confusing since the hotel is quite some distance from the guest center. So be aware that you might have to drive a bit it you are going to take a tour of the Stennis facility and the NASA visitor center. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay at the Picayune Holiday Inn Express. The staff were extremely friendly as one would expect in the South. The day manager even walked into the breakfast area during the morning breakfast and greeted everyone and then went around the room extending personal greetings and offer her assistance if we needed help with anything. Nice touch and a true indicator to her staff how important customer service and relations are to the facility. We will stay here next time we are through. January 3, 2013

Kelly, at the front desk, as friendly and helpfully, and had everything (keycard, etc) prepared prior to my arrival. Breakfast had good variety, and was well prepared. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by FRIENDLY, ACCOMODATING STAFF; CLEAN ROOMS While the mattress was quite hard for my back, the room we had was SUPER nice and clean. We were upgraded to a suite because there was some confusion on the part of the hotel and were given extremely nice rooms. The staff was extremely apologetic about the mixup and treated us with nothing but courtesy. I would DEFINITELY recommend anyone staying at HIE - Stennis. October 12, 2012
