This hotel was beautifully decorated and the staff were wonderful, very atentive.

Problems with getting room requested. Called Customer service with no concern or desire from customer service at Holiday Inn Express rewards. Absolutely no concern for their customers experience. Will not use this or any other Holiday Inn Express in the future.

My daughter and I had a quick stay at the Holiday Express in Pikeville Ky. Wow! What a nice room. It was very spacious and comfortable. Bed was so nice. Staff very helpful and friendly. Didn't get up in time for breakfast. But enjoyed the hot cookies when we checked in.
We would definitely stay again and I know what room number I am going to request!!

Did feel like the king bed standard room was a little pricy. But, then again, we were traveling/staying on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Have stayed here a few times before. Always had very nice room, clean, comfortable. This time, however, the room wasn't as nice. The shower curtain rod was coming off the wall. The shower curtain was useless as it stayed in the middle of the sagging curtain rod. The staff are always very friendly and accommodating. It is somewhat noisy being right off the main highway, but that's to be expected. The breakfast is always awesome!

Marylin at breakfast/kitchen area has always been great.
Overall very satisfied. Have stayed here many times.

I made this reservation with the IHG App so I would earn the bonus points. Did that on a Sunday for my travel date Wednesday night. Not sure what went wrong but reservation was made for Sunday. I found out when I got there on Wednesday I had no reservation, was in their records as a no-show Sunday. I arrived late on Wed. because road construction and an accident detour on the Hal Rogers. Luckily they did have a room available and Ron at the front desk that evening called the Manager to resolve the Sunday night room charge. I've been a member of the frequent guest program for over 26 years. While I don't travel as much as in the past, between my nightly stays per year and everything I charge on my IHG VISA card I'm Platinum level, so I'm pretty sure a call or two to IHG would have corrected that situation. Ron saved me the trouble. And when I didn't get my business finished until late the next day, Ron had one room left, with a jacuzzi tub that he put me into at a great price. That tub sure felt good after the physically grueling day I had!

This hotel is a star in the Pikeville area. The rooms are spacious and clean. The service is excellent and the continental breakfast is better than other hotels in the price range provide. Access is a little tricky, and the building is between a highway and railroad, however, so are all of the other hotels in the area. If you are staying in Pikeville, the Holiday Inn Express is a good choice.
