Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Shocking When I entered the room, I went in to use the restroom and noticed the toilet running. I thought that was strange but not detrimental, and some maintenance may be needed. When I finished, I noticed an Orkin insect trap behind the toilet. This was definitely an uncommon occurrence, but I wanted to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt. I entered the bedroom area, got ready to pick up the remote, and that is when my entire night went downhill!!! There were ROACHES crawling around the TV on the dresser/drawer area. Instantly, I cringed! When I went to look at the bed, there were roaches in the bed!!! I took pictures of them and went downstairs to let the front desk know that I was not staying in that room and why. I informed her that I'd taken pictures of these insects. She moved me in another room on the 1st floor (room 117). When I entered, I did not see any insects, but I noticed the handle that should have been on the curtain for use when opening and closing was on the floor. Tired and frustrated, I just laid on top of the cover and tried to get some sleep... nodding off and on. I could not get the room to cool off. It was humid and warm. Needless to say, I did not have a restful sleep nor an enjoyable stay having to worry about roaches and/or bedbugs all night. On top of all of this, I used my IHG points for the room (5000 pts). The lady at check in said that she was reimbursing 500 of them. I do not feel that this is reasonable, and definitely not sufficient, especially after all of this. I was asked if would be eating breakfast. How could I feel comfortable eating breakfast after seeing roaches in the bed, on the dresser, and around TV. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this Holiday Inn Express February 5, 2016

I stay here for work quite frequently and the manager is awesome. Beds are comfortable and they have just remodeled/repainted the rooms. Great place to stay. February 2, 2016
