Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay Great location in Greentree. There are fields across from the hotel so my son enjoyed a few mornings of kicking the soccer ball around. Close to incline to Mt Washington (10 minute drive). The hotel also provides a complimentary shuttle to downtown and 'the strip' great for restaurants and the Heinz history museum. Breakfast is sufficient and rooms are spacious. Small guest laundry was also a helpful addition. Front desk staff very helpful. Would stay here again, best value for money. July 25, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff - Subpar Hotel We arrived late Friday evening and were very impressed with the desk staff at check in - they were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately it went downhill from there... The Internet connection kept going in and out and we were getting messages that it was down for maintenance. We had other friends staying there that had the same issue so it wasn't my phone / iPad. The shower and toilet both had hair in/on them. We rinsed them off as we realize things happen, but not what I expected from a Holiday Inn Express. We awoke well rested and attempted to go downstairs Saturday morning for breakfast around 9 am. After waiting about 5 mins for the elevators, we walked down to the next floor to try from there. After standing there for a few minutes, one of the housekeeping staff saw us and told us the elevators were broken and they weren't sure when they would be working again as they had been out for about an hour at that point. She commented that it happened frequently on the weekends... I will also mention that there were no signs to let anyone know that the elevators were down. So, we walked down the 8 flights of stairs (yes we were on the top floor) to breakfast. We hiked back up the 8 flights of stairs (still no signs) after breakfast and laughed it off as good exercise. Back in the room we attempted to use the internet again and had the same issues as the night before. We got ready to leave a few hours later and figured that surely the elevator would be fixed but no. After descending the 8 flights of stairs and feeling as though we needed another shower as there was no A/C in the stairway and it was 90 degrees outside, we had an enjoyable day at the event we had come to attend. When we returned to the hotel several hours later, thankfully the elevators were back in operation. The rest of the stay was uneventful as we checked out early Sunday morning and thankfully the elevators were working. The staff was the best part of our entire stay. Everyone was helpful and very friendly. Unfortunately that did not make up for the lack of Internet service the entire time we were there and a day without elevator service - especially being on the top floor. Fortunately we were healthy and it was merely an annoyance. I cannot imagine being older or having health issues and needing an elevator and being stuck in the room most of the day. And if it happens frequently on the weekends, I definitely wouldn't recommend staying there on a weekend. The hotel has a lot of potential and the staff is awesome, but based on our experience and the price we paid for the rooms, I won't be returning. July 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay! Another great stay! Had my great nephew Brady with us and he loved it! The pool was awesome and location was the best! The shuttle was a plus and we took advantage of it going in and out of the city was a treat, especially with all the events going on that night. We were in and out quickly and no worry about traffic or parking! Thanks to Veronica our housekeeper, she was pure joy! July 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Greentree was the best! Had a wonderful stay again! My sister, niece and great nephew Brady stayed for just one night. We all had a great time. The pool was beautiful, breakfast was delicious! A great amenity was the shuttle into town which we used and pickup was prompt. I especially appreciated the acknowledgement of being a platinum member. There was a welcome board on the checkin desk with my name on it. Thanks for the wonderful stay, everything was super. A special mention for Veronica, housekeeping was so good to us, July 20, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Roadtrip with Mom This was the nicest hotel on our recent road trip. I had not booked a room in a Holiday Inn Express in a while, so I was not sure what to expect, and this place exceeded our expectations. The staff was very helpful and patient with their suggestions and answers to our questions. The lobby and rooms were pretty and there was ample parking which is rare in Pittsburgh. The hotel offers a shuttle to help customers get around town when they prefer not to drive too...very nice! July 20, 2015
