Everyone was friendly and clearly enjoyed working there. The only negative was the lighting was a little sparse in the room, but overall the room was spacious and met my needs. July 4, 2014

Lobby has been designed very nicely, gives a good impression upon entering the hotel. Furniture in the lobby and lounge room is very comfortable, excellent place to relax. The rooms are of very high quality, very nice colours, everything is clean. The breakfast offers good variety. Service could be faster and better. The hotel is not in downtown, but is not far either, within 10 mins, excellent location. July 2, 2014

The room was spacious with very comfortable beds. There was a huge selection of foods provided at the FREE breakfast. The workers were very professional. The swimming pool was very clean. The newly renovated building is clean, beautiful and comfortable, the breakfast is delicious with varied choices, but what makes this hotel special is the staff. Each employee we encountered, from the front desk to the breakfast room attendant to the housekeepers, are friendly and warm and cannot do enough for you. They actually almost feel more like family than strangers. Additionally, staying at this hotel puts you within a few minutes drive of downtown Pittsburgh and the shuttle service is very helpful. The bed was comfortable. We took the shuttle to a local restaurant. The driver was very friendly. The building and rooms were very clean. Breakfast was excellent. The mattress was very comfortable and I'm prette picky about having a comfortable mattress. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast servers went out of their way to have a beautiful display of fresh and inviting foods. And the price was very good. I would go here again and would recommend it. June 21, 2014

"Clean" remote for easy sterilization which I had never seen before and I travel and stay in hotels often. Clean bathroom with plenty of towels and amenities. Attentive and friendly staff. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The room was very clean from top to bottom. The bed was very comfortable. Everything in the room was top notch. Their in-room coffee maker was even Cuisinart. I could not have been more pleased with my stay at this hotel. They even upgraded my room, which is the first upgrade that I've ever received in the 16 years that I've been a Holiday Inn Priority Club member. June 13, 2014

The shuttle service to just about any place downtown completely eliminates big-city-traffic angst. From housekeeping to management, staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location We stayed at the Holiday Inn to meet some friends at the Pirates game. We arrived in the afternoon and our room was not ready yet. We were able to catch the next shuttle to town. I was very happy with the shuttle service to downtown. The driver (she ) was very helpful and told us the location and the time we could get picked to come back to the hotel. One minor problem we very not greeted upon check-in as being Platinum elite members of IHG. Otherwise a good stay and would stay again in the future. June 11, 2014

It was loud and the cool air would blow on me while sleeping. If I turned the unit off, it would get too hot. Overall, my stay was pleasant. June 5, 2014

The price was right and it was convenient location and free parking The only issue I had, the hotel was completely booked but they did not add any additional shuttles even thou there were alot of things going on around town, I was looking forward to using the shuttle instead of driving downtown and paying for parking. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel but blling issues. I have stayed their twice and both check in's my names was changed on the Bill. It was fixed the 1st visit, and the 2nd visit I noticed when I got home, and my bill had a different name, but it was charged to my credit card. I called to fix the issue, so I can get a correct receipt, so I can expense the stay, and get my rewards nights. They said it was fixed and I will get an email with a correct receipt. Over a week later, no receipt, and no points. I cant get reimbursed with the wrong name on the bill. Watch the name on your bill. Also, on this check in, I was standing there for about 10 minutes waiting why she jumped phone to phone. Their needs to be more people at the counter during the busy hours, so these mistakes won’t happen. Also, I did get an email the day thanking me for my stay there, but wrong name on bill and no rewards credit. May 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by COMFORTABLE, CLEAN, AFFORDABLE I am a solo female traveler, and my main criteria for a good hotel are cleanliness, safe location, and a reasonably quiet room. I don't need or use amenities such as room service, hotel bar, or valet service. I just want comfort and convenience, and a capable staff who are available when needed. This HI had all that, and the pleasant suburban location was a plus. I stayed for four days in May while visiting the Pittsburgh area. The room was comfortable, qiuet, and very clean. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I didn't use the pool or breakfast room, but they appeared to be clean and well maintained. I was pleasantly surprised by how fast and easy it is to get to downtown Pittsburgh from Greentree. I drove the first day, but found that driving and parking in Pitt are not easy for the out-of-towner. So I used the hotel shuttle to downtown, or took the bus from a convenient stop across the street from the HI. This was great! The bus trip takes 10-15 minutes to downtown, and from there it's easy to transfer to other buses or the T-train, which go to all points of interest in Pittsburgh. Another plus for this location is the park about a block away, which has pleasant walking/running paths that are ligted at night -great if your looking for a safe place to exercise. (My only negative was the loud muzak and equally loud big-screen TV in the lobby. The noise was really distracting when I used the business center in the lobby, and must be hard on the ears of the nice staff people at the desk). I would definitely stay here again. May 23, 2014
