Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Another nice stay in Pittsburgh Enjoyed our weekend, again. We love the corner rooms with view of the 10th St. bridge. Staff always friendly, rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is delicious and staff make sure you have what you need. We enjoy the location and parking. Keep up the good work. February 27, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice staff & new hotel Staff was nice and hotel looks brand new with nice interior. Very clean and comfortable. Nice pool but cool and had to call housekeeping to get in. Tread mills didn't work in the fitness center. You can take a long walk across the bridge to downtown and there is a shuttle that will take you anywhere and pick up up. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Staff I was in town for business , the young lady checking me in was extremely rude and seemed put out by having to get my room. There was another male employee behind the service desk also and he was way to busy talking to another employee. They were not busy at all and when I asked the girl where would be a good place to go eat and to get a drink she pointed out the door and said "2 blocks" (quite the conversationalist) I then politely asked if it was walking distance. She looked at me like it was the dumbest question she has ever heard and just shook her head. It was -5 degrees and I was new to the area, so I wasn't in the mood for a Sunday stroll in the blizzard. I wasn't impressed with the parking fee but that happens in some cities, also its a party hotel and I didn't realize that, but not a big issue to me. But you guys really need to fix your front desk problem, out of all of the holiday inns I've stayed at this was the worst check in staff that I have encountered! I will stay somewhere else next time February 20, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service The staff at this location was absolutely wonderful! Pittsburgh is my home. Unfortunately my children (grown adults) and myself was there for my brothers funeral. We were treated like family. The comfort was top notch! No matter where we were in the lobby, breakfast area, hallway to room everyone on staff was kind and friendly. I travel a lot for my company. Wish there were more hotels like this. Of course Pittsburgh people are wonderful "Some place special". Special mention to Ms. Dee in the breakfast area. Wanted to take her home. She was like a mom serving breakfast! Total keeper. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Check In! Arrived around 3:30 PM, was told that check in was not until 4:00 PM. Is that the average check in time? Seems late to me. Came back at 4:00 and still had to wait another 15 minutes. Delay was blamed on the rooms not being cleaned. I suggest the management start the cleaning process earlier. February 6, 2014
