Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Bad Experience for meeting. Had a bad experience on 12/19. I had booked this hotel and also booked the meeting room so my company could conduct interviews at the hotel. When I arrived on 12/18 around 7:00 pm, I asked the front desk staff about the meeting room to ensure there were no issues. I was informed the meeting room was ready. The next morning our interviews were to begin at 8:00 am. After a quick breakfast, we walked into the lobby to see our first applicant waiting for us. We informed him we were going to go set the room up and would be right back up. When we got to the meeting room it was locked. We went upstairs to ask for the key and there was no key to be found. No one knew where the key was. Maintenance could not locate a key. The office staff could not locate a key. No one knew where the key was to the meeting room. (It is a door that requires an actual key instead of a card.. why?) I was informed the General Manager would not be available until 9:30 am. I asked for another room to conduct the meeting and was informed they only had bedrooms. There would be 4 people in the interview so this was not acceptable. Finally they were able to put us in the maintenance office where we conducted the first interview about 25 minutes behind schedule surrounded by piles upon piles of bedding in bags and other maintenance equipment. After the first interview a key was located. The young lady behind the counter (Possibly assistant Manager) did everything within her power to try to help us with our dilemma. I have no issues with the staff or their response once they realized the problem. I am concerned though that I did not have any communication from either the General Manager or the Meeting Coordinator throughout the entire process or at any point during my stay. Just a very disappointing experience. December 20, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location and wonderful service The Southside location is wonderful. It's convenient to downtown and the major roads. The staff has always been very courteous . Please note, the hotel is located next to railroad tracks, so periodically you will hear trains passing by. If you're a light sleeper, this could be a problem. To me, this adds to the "Steel City" atmosphere. December 9, 2014
