Poor breakfast selection. I had to eat on the road. I wish all Holiday Inn Expresses would upgrade their breakfasts anyway...

I stayed here often when I was working, and always stay here now that I'm retired when I visit. Clean, relaxing, quiet. I enjoy all seasons here. Staff here is my favorite too, without naming names.

The front desk staff at this hotel would benefit from proper customer service training. We experienced difficulties with the reservation, to check-in, to requests. We were told at one point to contact the manager with a request, which we did; only to be informed he was not available. Upon check in we were not greeted, we were not welcomed as Rewards members. The front desk attendant was just rude and surly. When leaving to attend an event we witnessed the front desk staff sitting, visiting with each other on the couches in the lobby meant for hotel guests and housekeeping staff sitting in the dining area. Maintenance staff was not wearing any type of uniform or name tag identifying themselves as employees. When requesting water at the front desk (a complimentary service that we have become accustom to at other Holiday Inn properties that excel in the service area) it was begrudgingly provided with a directive to the vending machines in the future. In regard to room condition - is was fair. The grout in the bathroom deserves special mention given it was filthy and would benefit from cleaning or reconditioning. We chose not to eat the breakfast especially after observing a dining staff member with a cup of coffee in the parking lot, wearing her food service gloves while smoking a cigarette. We paid too much for this room and interaction with the staff was terrible. If visiting the area we highly recommend you find another property. There is no need for management to reach out given responses to other customers who were not pleased. We will reach out to corporate to voice our concerns regarding staff.
