The management personnel greet and are aware of each guest. Watch out to make sure the alarm clock is turned off from the prior guest's settings, or else you could be jolted awake at an inconvenient time and not get back to sleep. June 23, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Leisure stay We stayed in a "king suite." We were staying for a week due to selling one house and moving into another. The layout of the room doesn't make sense. There is only one tv so you have to sit on the bed to watch it. The couch is positioned so you can't relax as you would at home. Although the staff was polite, they failed to follow through with fixing a broken item in the room for several days. Not good! The room was clean but the bed seemed very hard, June 18, 2014

We were able to book the family suite last minute and were amazed at how large and comfortable it was. one bed was in a room by its self which was nice and we still had two more large beds and a pull out couch. The breakfast wasn't bad, there were hot items but they ran out quickly and none of the tables had more than four chairs so our children had to sit on the other side of the room. the pool is very dark even though it had many can lights they weren't bright at all. the work out room had 3 pieces of equipment which worked fine even though it was older. The front of the hotel was very nice but when i opened the curtains in our main room we had an ugly view of the unscaped lawn and a fire escape. The staff were amazing and very friendly. The elevator made an annoying loud beep when it first started to go down which scared our younger kids. June 10, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Service is going downhill I have stayed here periodically in the past and 13 times since January 2014. The room updates and beds are great. The staff and service is usually great. I am disappointed because on my last 3 night stay in April 2014 mistakes were made. I booked my stay 3 weeks in advance and was promised a 1st floor room. When I checked in I was placed on the 2nd floor (no ice or vending). No big deal, but I was disappointed. Also, I forgot a $65 bottle of over-the-counter pills. i know it's my fault for forgetting it in my room, but I was told it would be mailed the following Monday. That was April 7th and I still haven't received the bottle. I called to confirm last week and they said it was mailed, but I find that hard to believe. I wish there were other quality or mid-range hotels to choose from in the area. April 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A quiet night We were very impressed with the attitude of the woman manager we spoke with. Two bus loads of high school boys (lacrosse team) came into the hotel and my husband and I thought they might get noisy that night. We mentioned this to the manager and she assured us that if there were any problems, they'd be taken care of ASAP. We talked with her the next morning and she said someone else had called to complain about some of the boys, but that the staff had taken care of it quickly . I have to agree because I never even heard the boys and I'm a light sleeper. We were so glad to get a good night's sleep as we had a lot of driving to do the next day. I know the motel/hotel choices in this town and the Holiday Inn is the best one. I told my local friends about it and would recommend it to anyone coming through town. April 22, 2014

Nice selection of breakfast choices and friendly staff there too. Conveniently located, close to the thruway and several places to eat. It is a good facility and very clean. The bathroom was the smallest of any I have stayed at--actually awkward to move about in. The furniture seemed older and not as nice as others. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Best Hotel for the Area but the Breakfast Blows Of the hotels in the area this is by far the best to choose from but consider somewhere else for your breakfast. I was there on a Saturday evening and on Sunday morning they had no 2% milk, no boiled eggs, no bananas and 1 light yogurt....I decided to have an English Muffin but could have had a better chance of chewing on the table edge (I threw three "hockey puck" muffins away) so went for the wheat bread, after throwing 3 of them away (which tells me they don't change the bread daily) I gave up and asked for some fresh muffins or bread. I was given a cold muffin that had been in the freezer. I stay at a lot of hotels and have to say that Holiday Inn Express breakfast is getting really OLD and BORING!!! It is time for a change. The room was ok, nothing to jump up and down about. I used my debit card to hold the room which caused over a $400 hold on my card because the book-in took 3 tries and each one authorized my card. I contacted the hotel Monday and they did take care of it with my bank though. February 12, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing For the past 2 years with my new job I travel almost every week. I stay in hotels roughly 140 nights per year. I typically use Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and another chain that I want name. I will have to say that this particular HIE was probably my worst experience yet. Areas that were below average include overall cleanliness, breakfast area and food was below average, I had to leave a note to have the linens changed, I was there a week and my bathroom floor was never swept. Attention to detail just did not seem to exist at this HIE. I did not feel "comfortable" at this location. December 17, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor service Upon check in the front desk attendant was nice, but had little knowledge of places to eat. This is disappointing to out of town guests. The next morning at breakfast was chaos. I went down to breakfast at 8:00 (breakfast goes till 10:00) many items were low or out. Eggs were out, bread, milk, and bagels down to the last one or two. Being a home Notre Dame, breakfast was busy. Guests were waiting around for items to be filled. This should not happen. The breakfast attendant never spoke. There was no "good morning" "how are you". I was disappointed in the property's ability to keep up with the breakfast crowd at prime breakfast time and on a busy game day morning. The young lady at the front desk on Saturday morning was very pleasant and friendly. As a platinum member I have stayed a many IHG properties around the country. This stay did not meet my expectations. November 27, 2013
