Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by nice place but understaffed nice rooms in beautiful north idaho. different pillow types were nice, and the bed was firm and fairly comfortable. hopefully management will work out some of the kinks: wi-fi doesnt work when the hotel is full, and the front desk if often unmanned and you have to leave a voicemail. also please make sure to check your rate before you sign the check-in papers. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Average hotel. We stayed 4 nights here. It was our third year in a row staying at Holiday Inn in Sandpoint, but quite frankly we've run out of patience. Last year I recommended to the front desk staff that they add some tables & chairs to their beautiful west-facing massive deck so that more guests could enjoy the great valley view. This was ignored. We find the staff to be less than friendly. We find that the overall value is lacking. We will not stay here again. July 3, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Super friendly staff, great room The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pool was a lot of fun with our 3 year old. The food was about what you'd expect at a hotel buffet, nothing to write home about, but better than nothing. The layout of the 2 queen suite made it easy to have a little privacy from our child, but still close enough to not worry about him. Loved the bath products that were provided! The beds were a wee bit squishy for our taste, but the variety of pillow styles (soft and firm on each bed) was a nice addition. June 26, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean rooms and hotel - Fresh cookies at 7p A few hiccups.... wifi doesn't always work, room didn't get cleaned one day (left at 11:30 and the do-not-disturb was *not* on the door), and our bill was over charged and when I needed toothpaste, they didn't have any and I had to go over to Walmart. But, the staff took care of what they could, the rooms were very clean and the beds were quite comfortable. It would have been nice if the windows had opened more than 2" because when in the northwest, it's nice to have the fresh air. Sounds like a lot of complaints, but they were all minor and I would stay again ... breakfast is very good for this type of hotel- only ate it twice out of five nights, but no complaints. Cookies at 7pm were a nice touch. Lots of room to play cards in the breakfast area at night, as well as two spots for watching TV outside of the room. And wifi reception was good in the main areas. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Reliably clean and comfortable. The Holiday Inn Express Sandpoint North is our go-to motel on our frequent visits to Sandpoint. The property is well maintained and the staff is competent and friendly. Two negatives: The wi-fi connection was so slow on our most recent visit as to be almost useless. And the picture quality on their DirecTV system was very subpar. Apart from that, we had an enjoyable stay. June 21, 2014
