Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient but not great on quality We stayed at this hotel as we couldn't get anything nearer Poole Quay. It was easy walk to the waterfront. The hotel has all the facilities you could require and we found it very convenient. Breakfast and dinner are OK and rooms are well equipped. But it rates pretty poorly on overall quality. We had to change room as the sink did not drain away. The next room had sticky marks on the carpet, the light in bathroom flickered annoyingly and the shower was just a dribble of water. Breakfast was OK but the hot food was limited to sausage, egg and beans. No bacon! And the only fruit was tinned grapefruit. Staff were very helpful but the hotel is all self service. The same staff operate reception, bar, restaurant - and everything else. Not sure if this is really a 'budget' hotel at over £100 per room. October 3, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall a happy experience Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The general level of cleanliness and the general condition of the room were very good. Bed was comfortable. Very surprised in such a modern hotel to find no power socket by the bed when surely everyone would want, for instance, to recharge their phone overnight and still have access to it! insufficient shower pressure. Soundproofing inadequate - one can hear far too much from the corridor and other rooms. Breakfast selection poor - more fruit, cheese, cold meat, and greater variety of cooked food would be appreciated. Good that there is complementary wifi but unhappy that one is charged for a decent strength of signal. Generally happy though. October 1, 2015

Having stayed at another hotel a day before in the town and paid less for my stay including a great breakfast, I found the Holiday Inn breakfast poor. No Bacon. Just suasages, overcooked scrambled eggs and nasty beans. What sort of breakfast is that? Its probably the worst breakfast selection I have ever seen. Somneone probably had a breainstorming way of cutting costs and decided to cut the breakfast selection..... not good. The hotel on thew whole is fine, towels could be bigger, shower could be hotter and more powerful and liek every hotel the extraction fan does not work and steams up the room. September 29, 2015
