I wanted to take my children to monkey world for the day, so decided the stop here the night previous, to get to monkey world early on the Sunday.
I booked online for 1 adult and two kids, but there was only 1 bed in the room on arrival. The room itself was adequate.
The walls were paper thin, and everey noise from the room next door, corridor and street were very clear.
The breakfast selection was poor and I would say was very poor value for money.

We stayed here for 1 night, so close to the shopping center and the main town, beach was a 5 min walk away , the Hotel itself was clean and the breakfast was nice, ( No bacon) but sausages scrambled eggs pastries the usual, we enjoyed our stay and would go back there again

We were very pleased overall with our stay. Only 2 comments for improvement! They need more than 1 staff on the desk and covering the bar during lunch time and in the evening as this leads to slow service of drinks and loss off sales for them! The members website needs to give correct details of bookings.

As mid-range British hotels go, this hotel exceeded our expectations, the only blip being at breakfast times when there was only one waiter on duty and the self service often ran out of glasses/cups etc but upon bringing it to their attention, replacements were brought in without any delay. Excellent position for Trains/Buses and National Express coach stations and just a short walk to Poole Quay. Free car parking and in a fairly quiet area. Would highly recommend it.

Spent one night there. Checked in at 8pm. Only one member of staff has to deal with the reception and bar. He dispatched me in no time. Room was clean, beds comfortable. One thing though. The TV switched off after 2 hours. The only way to switch it back on is to slide the card outside the door. Removing the card from its slot did not work.
Breakfast was good and has a great selection.
Checking out was done by someone very grumpy who handed me the invoice without a look and a word. Poor poor poor skills.
Ok for a one or two night stay.

booked 3 rooms for family christening,all rooms clean and great service given,ie, family members arrived early and were given safe area to store luggage til checking in time,so were able to visit poole park with children who needed to run around after long journey, all staff very cheerful to children during visit,breakfast very good ,all family members from young to old very happy with breakfast. rooms very nice ,clean as was all other areas of hotel. great location for visiting other areas, very near shopping centre, and poole seafront. Will visit again.

Having travelled 6 hours, I arrived tired and hungry so rather than walking into town to find a restraint I chose to stay and eat at the hotel. Big mistake. The chicken wings looked more like pigeon wings and had been cooked to the point the bone would have been easier to chew.
Following dinner, I ordered a glass of wine to take back to my room to relax. Once back in my room I was about to take a sip only to notice lipstick all the way round the rim. When I returned it to the bar the bar-man went through a further 3 glasses before finding one he felt he could hand polish to an acceptable standard.
While the manager kindly credited the wings and wine, this is well below the standards I'm used to and keep me returning to ICH Group hotels. Very disappointing.

Torn paper but most disappointing an earwig crawling across the bed! When presented with the insect the receptionist was very good, handled it correctly and changed our room. Second room had old toenail outside the bathroom door and hair in the shower. Oh and the beds are too small for couples to sleep comfortably!
