Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Outside spa I just love the outside spa. Sitting there by the Port Lavaca Bay & feeling the breeze just sweeps all my cares & worries away. It is very much a relaxing experience. I look forward to this when I visit this Hotel. Actually, the ouside spa is the reason I stay at this hotel often on my business trips. I do wish they had more choices on the tv & breakfast menus. If you enjoy the water or being close to the water- this is the place to stay. January 28, 2013

The staff went out of their way to meet our needs cheerfully. Convenience of having breakfast. And it's got a great view. Will keep looking for HIE. Thanks. January 27, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Business I spent two busy days in Port Lavaca and this hotel, its unusual egress notwithstanding, is a nice place to stay. Room decor is a little garish but it is located next to a nice seafood/sports bar restaurant and bar so the decor was easy to overlook. I did not have breakfast in the hotel so I cannot comment on that. January 22, 2013

We did not get to our room until the evening and we were there 30 minutes when the front desk called to say we were making to much noise.(8:30p.m) my son was asleep, husband was reading the paper and I was on the bed reading a magazine. It was the room above us that was being noisy. They called again, we asked to speak to management but they were not on sight. The next morning the front desk said there were 5 complaints and several other people that complained. All before 10 p.m. The manager never met with us the next morning. We did ask for the corporate number but it was not given. I will not stay here again. Have other rooms booked at another holiday inn, may have to cancel those plans. October 11, 2012
