It is a very clean hotel and the staff is very professional and always read my request for room location etc. A major plus is we travel with a small dog and this property accepts dogs and is also a very clean, nice hotel. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed We have stayed at this same hotel several years in a row on our way back from Myrtle Beach. We arrive at the same time of day each year and have never had a problem. When we arrived this year, one hour before 3 p.m. check in, they had no room ready for us. As soon as I asked to check in the lady at the desk said, "You know check in is at 3 so I'm sure your room is not ready. I knew then, we wouldn't have a room even as a priority club member. We have check in early every year. There were only 5 cars in the parking lot but yet no room ready for us. We had driven 7 hrs with 3 kids so I asked if we could at least change and use the pool while waiting. I was told no, you are not checked in so you can't. We weren't checked in but we paid the advance rate that charges your card whether you show up or not so they had our money. She still said no. She was very unfriendly and after all these years will most likely stay at one of the other local hotels next year. Pool was great, breakfast very good, room nice. August 7, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by No handicap room available even though we reserved one by phone When we arrived we learned that the hotel had overbooked and that the handicap room we needed was not available. The receptionist was apologetic and said that she had just returned from her vacation and knew that we would not be pleased. We made do with the regular room thanks to a shower chair that we had brought with us for my handicapped daughter. I requested a discount on the room since the room we reserved was not available and was told that she could only give us the AAA discount that we had already requested by phone. If we had not had the shower chair we would not have stayed and were unhappy that the overbooking occurred. We did enjoy the breakfast variety as usual and love their cinnamon rolls. The beds were comfortable and the sleeping accommodations met our needs. We have stayed here in the past and never had a problem with booking before. August 5, 2014
