We were flat out lied to multiple times by the front desk staff regarding a payment method with my credit card. We complied with every one of their requests only to then be told a new story. We had to extend our reservation but I was leaving town for a few days so my girlfriend was going to be the only one here to check in under the new reservation. They already had my credit card information on file because we had already been staying here for a week prior. Nonetheless, we notified the front desk of the situation and they said that it would not be a problem just as long as I made the new reservation under my girlfriend's name. That was not to be the case, however. We spent the next 2 days fighting with them because they wouldn't authorize my credit card since I wasn't physically present. All of this hassle despite being told otherwise before I left town. I sent pictures of my credit card to them, upon their request, as well as a handwritten letter of authorization to use my credit card. Then, when presented with this, suddenly they couldn't accept that either. My girlfriend was denied multiple requests to speak with the General Manager. Finally, on the second day of battle, a woman came out of the back posing as the GM (we later found out she was not) and still did not offer a solution to our problem. I tried to call corporate to see if they could do anything and when I spoke to a woman with guest relations, she called the hotel directly to try to resolve our issue. Apparently she talked to the same woman who was posing as the GM and was given a completely innaccurate account of the situation. Not only that, she had the audacity to tell the woman from guest relations that they could not accept my authorization letter because it was full of profanity and bad words (an egregious lie). What's worse, is that the woman from guest relations seemed to buy the "GM's" bogus accuasations and stories. They made us feel guilty and painted it as if they are going to do us a favor in this situation and let my girlfriend continue to stay at the hotel until I returned. The customer service at both the hotel and guest relations was shockingly bad.
