Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best value for your money When booking this was assured it had the same facilities as another Holiday Inn Express and we were saddened to realize it did not. The room we were given was fine, a little outdated. But the most diaappointing part of this trip was that the bed collapsed while laying on it. Which caused a switch in rooms, which was handled well fortunately and we were upgraded. The elevator was extremely slow and when carrying your luggage this was unfortunate. I would probably not stay here again and would choose another Holiday Inn location. November 5, 2013

Had all the amenities you could ask for and was located close to lots of restaurants. The breakfast was great and the staff was professional and courteous. Definately would stay there again. Our daughter and her family live in the area and we go visit and stay at this hotel The grandsons stay with us for the pool and the breakfast (that's camping...grandpa style!!)..... we all love it!! Candy and the front desk staff take great care of us, breakfast is always top notch and the entire staff makes us feel welcome. The cleanliness is 5 star!!!! HIGHLY recommend this location!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Place to Stay The purpose of our stay was to take our granddaughters shopping for the weekend at the Puyallup Mall. We were looking for a motel that was walking distance to the mall and restaurants. The Puyallup Holiday Inn had a suite that would accommodate six people and walking distance to mall and restaurants so they had everything that we were looking for. We found everyone from the front desk to housekeeping very helpful and great to work with. If I could find any flaw it would be that our suite only had one couch which was just big enough for three people and needed a couple more chairs in the living area. We plan on a return trip next year and everyone agreed that we wanted to stay longer. Thank everyone at the Holiday Inn Express in Puyallup. P.S. The cookies were really great! September 4, 2013

When my parents arrived ahead of their reserved time they found a room for them and made them feel very welcome and comfortable too. Long story but this was so very important for my parents....and me. The rooms were very clean and nice. The price is a bit high to me for Puyallup but all the hotels in the area are about the same price. A little strange to me since on this trip I stayed at a fabulous resort hotel in Reno and then in Vegas for less but I would stay at this hotel again if I was in the area. So would my parents. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by General experience I have stayed at the HIE Puyallup for the past 3 years at this same time of year. It is comfortable and conveniently located for my activites. The beds are great! The amenities - lotion, shampoos, etc are really nice. The staff is very helpful and contribute alot to the hospitality. I had trouble with accessing the wifi. As a member of the "club" I missed getting a treat bag this year. Water is nice, but the other treats were a nice surprize in the past couple of years. I think there is a great variety of food for breakfast, but the quality of the rolls and eggs & bacon were different than in the past. I LOVE THE COOKIES - available all the time, and the USA Today newspaper delivered to the door. It's a great place to stay. August 17, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Customer Service This was one of the worst experiences my husband and I have ever had. Our grandson was getting Married and the family had set up a block of rooms for family. We were one of the last to get there, and we got there about 11am. We had been driving since early morning and were looking forward to resting before the wedding that evening. We went to check in and was informed by a guy named Justin that check in time was 3pm. He said "go walk around the mall". We were not happy. We explained that we had been driving since early in the morning and was tired. We, by the way are in our 70s. We asked to talk to a manager and he said he was the manager. We were very disappointed and will never stay there again. August 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Internet was down, but still a 5 First of all. Great rooms, great price, great facility overall. However, the internet was down. Called down to the front desk, the guy put in a call to tech support. Went to grab some dinner, came back and under my door, there is a nicely handwritten note with 2k points attached, apologizing for the inconvenience, without me asking, begging, screaming etc. Blew me away. The downside is that the internet never came back, it was a hardcore outage, which was extremely irritating. Typically, I give 1 star when this occurs, because I expect for their to be a backup data connection in this day and age. However, because the dude at the front desk handled it so well, and everything else was perfect about the hotel, I'm gonna give this a five, and call this a fluke. If this happened again, then it would be an immediate 1. Everything else exceeded my expectations. This hotel understands hospitality. August 9, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Spacious Room Good clean room and very large, a Queen suite. Breakfast is the standard HIE fare, holds you until lunch but not delicious. Rates were high for a last minute booking for a very busy Puyallup weekend (Good Guys Car Show). Different rate between Wednesday and Thursday evenings increased $20 per night, it was in the reservation, just wasn't noticed the way they average the rates for multiple nights. August 4, 2013

I appreciate that they not only have the USA today but have a couple of copies of the Wall Street Journal too. The large screen in the lobby has locations of whats happening in the area and places to eat. I would recommend this Holiday Inn Express. April 1, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staying here for almost 15 years! When was the last time you stayed in a hotel and was hugged by the person at the front desk? I was greeted with a smile and a hug. The hotel is always clean and the staff is always helpful. The beds are very comfortable. We only stay at this hotel when we travel to Puyallup. Also, I left my iPad in the room when we left. I was panicked when we got home and I realized what I had done. I called the hotel and housekeeping turned it in. So not only is this a great place to stay, the staff is honest!!! March 1, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not what I expected I set up this night for my Mother to spend the night with her great granddaughter that she had never seen. My grandbaby lives in Costa Rica and never comes this way so I wanted it to all be special. What my Mother got was lies and bad service. I set up the reservation with our membership card and then called the front desk to make sure everything was set. I informed them that I was paying for all costs. If that was a problem, I should have been told then and I would have found a better place. I asked about the upgrades and they told me to just have my mother ask when she arrived. When my Mother arrived, she asked about the upgrade and was told that there was nothing available although the place never did fill. She was also told that she had to come up with the room amount. She was not expecting that and was not prepared for it. Because of this, I had to drive 160 miles to put money in her nearest bank account to cover the cost. When my Mother called me while standing at the front counter, they had the nerve to say that I never called to confirm anything. I have phone records to prove those lies. Totally unacceptable.
