Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent hotel and staff We stayed at this Holiday Inn Express for the first time. We traveled by train and the cab ride from the Sainte Foy station was about 5 minutes and cost around $6.00. The staff on arrival was extremely eager to please and willing to answer my multitude of questions. The room was clean, roomy and comfortable. The only small problem is the TV was not always working properly. I would like to commend Audrey at the front desk for her dedication to her job. She's always smiling and extremely efficient. As a side info it cost around $20 -$25 to go to the Old Quebec City from the hotel. There is a bus close by that goes there as well for $3.00/person (the front desk has the schedule). Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by overall very good experience as a first time holiday inn express customer, we were very happy with the experience-the customer service was great, the rooms and hotel are well-decorated and clean, the breakfast was terrific! the negatives-we awoke in the middle of the night and the room was freezing-we weren't able to raise the temperature and had to wear our sweat pants/shirt to bed-when checking out, we found out that the front desk controls the temperature at night-duvet was very thin-hardwood floors are cold-parking was difficult because of renovations-overall tho, a very good experience! We were extremely impressed with the design, comfort and cleanliness of the room. The hotel staff were lovely, and very friendly. The breakfast buffet was superb, and lots of free parking. We will definitely be back to stay - and for longer next time so we can take advantage of all the many amenities! Thank you for a wonderful stay. January 1, 2014
