A bit of Serendipity: Look for the Tulip Hill Winery tasting room in the River Shopping area. Great wines! I discovered it just walking around. January 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay My family flew in from Nebraska to see my very ill Father, we arrived at 11:30 am and met Derrick at the front desk, his young man should be considered the Concierge of the hotel. Always said hello, ask how we were doing, was there anything he could help us with getting. One of the top front desk people I've ever met at any hotel at any price. The hotel was clean, quite and well maintained. The room (a queen suite) was perfect. January 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Palm Springs is over-priced but this hotel is not I went last minute to the Palm Springs/Rancho Mirage area. I looked around and was shocked to see the crazy prices for hotel rooms (maybe if I golfed I'd be willing to pay more?!). But the Holiday Inn Express was well priced, accommodated my request for a room at the end of a hall, and for very little extra I got a microwave, mini-fridge, and seating area. January 16, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Overall Bad Experience Hotel is beautiful in appearance both inside and out, tasteful decor, rooms spacious and clean, comfortable bed, but we just had an overall bad experience here, probably due to the hotel being near or at capacity. Upon arrival, no luggage carts available. One of us has mobility problems over walking long distances, so when making our reservation, we asked for a room near the lobby or elevator. Our room was as far from the lobby as you can get on the main floor, the reason given was they were filled the night before & some stayed. To make matters worse, the ice machine was out of order at this end & the next closest was at the other far end of the hotel. Now, the elderly employee, Bob, did everything he could to make up for the deficiencies and should get recognition for his efforts. After a short wait ( 10-15 min.), he got us a cart by helping another couple with the one they had, showed us how we could get into the hotel from the parking lot which was a much shorter distance to walk, brought us ice to the room. The breakfast was average in a very small room with 7 tables and the serving counter was small, making it very crowded. Some ate in a lounging area. The room fridge had no freezer compartment and was very small compared to some other hotels we've stayed at for less money, but was adequate. The room was adjoining and we could hear what the people in the adjacent room were saying. Although the stay did not sit well with us because of all these things, we would stay here again to give it another try, hopefully when they aren't so full. Bob certainly went out of his way to make things right, which we greatly appreciated. January 8, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellant Place to Stay!! This is such a wonderful hotel! I travel a lot and this was one of the best places to stay comparing it to any 5 star Hotel. First, they have wonderful and thoughtful customer service. This begins with the front desk and continues with the housekeeping staff. Second, the overall cleanliness of the facility is thorough. There is an attention to detail and a wonderful scent throughout the facility. Third, the location is very close to restaurants and grocery stores which makes it easy to enjoy and feel a part of the area. One of the best locations I've stayed by far in the areas of customer service, cleanliness and location. December 16, 2012
