Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall stay and breakfast bar experience. We just loved our first stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Charles Town, WV. We cannot wait until our next visit. The exceptional breakfast bar and service staff is a great asset and will require us to stay at the hotel again the next time we visit Hollywood. I am disabled and the service staff in the Great Room attending the breakfast bar inquired about my possible needs for table service during our breakfast session. I never had that happen before !!!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by always a great stay at this hotel The hotel staff are very friendly. The rooms and grounds are clean. Beds are comfortable. The only negative thing I can say is I wish they would upgrade the shampoo, conditioner, lotion and tiolet paper they provide in bathroom. We stay at this hotel at least 3 times a year and have never had a bad experience. The staff that takes care of the complimentary breakfast is outstanding and always very friendly and keep the area stocked and clean. September 4, 2014

There is a free 24/7 shuttle to/from the casino that is a PLUS, PLUS. Also the breakfast is a great extra after a long night of gambling. This is a nice clean hotel and I recommend you staying here. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Assistance To The Handicap I made these reservations with Holiday Inn Express well in advance. I specifically requested a King Size bed in a handicap room. When I made these reservations I had the reservationist repeat several times for me that I did have a KING size bed reserved in a HANDICAP room. When we arrived there was NO king size bed in a handicap room reserved. We finally got one, but that was not the end of this miserable visit. We were directed to some door that we were told was near our room. When we got to the door there was a sign hung on the door that read OUT OF ORDER. We went to the next nearby door and the same sign - OUT OF ORDER. We returned to the main desk and we were then advised that you had handicap parking and the entry door for our room was next to the parking area! Why did the the front desk not advise us of this at check in time? Needless to say, this will be my LAST stay at a Holiday Inn Express, even if I am a Hilton Honor Member. Also, your handicap shower floor dish to hold in the water for draining is too short and by the time you finish your shower you have formed a large pool of water all over the bathroom area making it difficult for a person with one leg to get around. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Could do better Very average hotel and room. Asked for a quiet room and was given the very first room off the lobby? Near the most traffic in the hotel. Internet was not working. Took long time for front desk to answer phone. Then took 2 hours before they called me back. (Internet had come on about an hour after my call) Not enough staff to handle check ins and phones. Waited while 4 other people checked in or had problems to deal with. Was not in a hurry but seemed like there should have been more staff there. August 23, 2014

I answered no, because I was a walk-in reservation, but they did take my rewards number so I don't want the staff to get any demerit for not asking. As for the morning food selection, the hotel was really full and my guess booked solid, so by 0800 there were more people in the dining area than it could hold and the line for coffee was a log-jam--It might be better to have the coffee away from the food line so it flows better. As for economy of value, I thought the weekend prices were a bit high. August 15, 2014
