We have stayed this hotel on many occasions . It represents very good value , with excellent clean bedrooms and a welcoming bar .
The staff s friendliness also adds to a comfortable stay .
We will return !

We stayed 2 nights at the start of December to make the short journey to the NEC for the motorcycle show. The room was spacious and warm, clean and had all we needed, including a hair dryer. We had a hire car with built in sat nav and it took straight to the hotel without a problem. We had breakfast included and this was plentyful and tasty, although we got the timings a bit off on sunday morning and the place was full and plenty of children running around without parents seeming to control them. Not the fault of the hotel and we were not the only ones put off by this. The check in a nd out was swift and polite, We would recommend the hotel, and if up this way again would stay again.

I've stayed at the HI Express Redditch about 50 nights in total during the past year (2012), and I've always been very satisfied with the quality, comfort, etc. Best of all are the staff, who are always helpful, friendly, efficient and polite.
(Note: my stays have all been weekdays. I don't know if they maintain their high standards at the weekends.)

Its simple - If you need to stay in the South Birmigham area and you want a good quality , modern, well maintained, spotlessly clean hotel with very friendly staff giving great service then this is the place. This beats the "other" hotels in this class hands down. Simple but fuctional and stylish bed rooms, still has that "new" feeling , bar and food was very very good - I will stay here as and when I am next in this area.

Door lock broke. No swipe card key would work. Had to use the emergency keys to open up the room after 45 minutes of trying all swipe card keys being reprogrammed and reprogrammed. Reception staff thought it was us not using the swipe keys properly.
On the Sunday morning certainly needed more staff at breakfast time. Everything ran out, white bread was frozen, so could only be used for toast. No way to sit, tables left piled up with dishes.
Would I go back - No.
No recognition as a Gold priority club card member

Not much to add really - a great room, lovely helpful staff, the breakfast is a bit limited but please keep away from the sausages. They are really cheap, poor quality and nasty

We have stayed at this hotel on two occasions in order to break a long journey and each time have found the hotel relaxing and the rooms comfortable. The breakfast is good and sets you up for the day.
Could be more choice on the menu in the dining area and the weather suddenly changed so we found the dining and lounge areas rather cold.
Would definitely stay again.

Due to a coach party of young people the dining at breakfast was an experience not to be witnessed again. The dining area was left in such an awful state as there seemed to be no supervision over them, milk , juice and other breakfast items spilt everywhere. The staff took nearly 20 minutes attempting to put the place right, hindered by other guests who had tight time schedules to observe. I also heard that some guests although encouraged by advertising in the rooms to eat in the evenings at the hotel were disappointed and turned away due to the numbers staying. Surely if you advertise a service you should maintain a stock to cover potential numbers when open. OVERALL ROOM GOOD, POSITION GOOD, CATERING AN EVENT TO BE MISSED ON THIS OCCASION.

We have just experienced an overnight stay at Holiday Inn Express while taking our two grandaughters to Cadbury World, the room was prepared ready for us all, spotlessly clean, plenty of towels, tea and coffee. Ample of choice at breakfast. Any requests made to the staff was dealt with promptly and efficiently. Overall we could not find fault, THANK YOU

A PROBLEM WITH THE WINDOW IN OUR ROOM THAT WAS
RECTIFIED IMMEDIATELY. VERY QUIET AT NIGHT & "PROPER"
HOT BREAKFAST, BUT NOT ENOUGH CHOICE OF CEREALS
THOUGH. AMPLE PARKING. A TINY COMPLAINT - TWIN ROOM

The hotel is a good hotel, but we found that breakfast was very poor, we had to ask for orange juice, cutlery and plates. There were only sausages available on the hot buffet, we were told that there is only bacon or sausage served at weekends!!
