Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Maybe it was just staying on the first floor The issue we had with this Holiday Inn Express was that the room felt and smelled damp. Although the bed was comfortable, the sheets felt damp but they weren't. The floors seemed damp as well. We attributed this to possibly being on the ground floor. This has occurred in southern states before where the humidity must be worse on ground floors. My wife has severe allergies to smoke and although this was a "non-smoking" room, she smelled cigarette smoke...and she has a nose like a bloodhound! Our breakfast was good and the staff was excellent. The price was excellent. The overall cleanliness was very good. I know Holiday Inn Express facilities are usually very good and our stays at these facilities are very good to excellent....however, this one was not. August 13, 2014

Like the asthetic and cleanliness of facitily, our only problem was we could not get clean towel or maid service during our entire stay despite requesting from housekeeping staff and front desk staff numerous times. Finally had to go to desk to get our own, we were told staff did not speak English and required a translator. July 22, 2014
