Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Victor S Nice hotel overall, room had a few annoyances
Nice first impression - sparkling clean, comfy bed, nice big TV, most things in great working order. However, the desk in the room had inadequate height under its drawer, with a hidden board to bang your knees into, so if you are 6' or more, beware. Another gripe - a big gap on one side of the AC unit and the ensuing cold drafts; had to stuff that with towels, which helped only partly.
The breakfast had a pretty good selection, but oatmeal only in dry packets.

Stayed here recently for a week. Staff was friendly, hotel was clean and modern and I was able to get around Richmond easily from its location. It was also close to many restaurants, shopping and anything else you might need.

I travel with my dog, about 100lbs of Rottweiler. So when selecting a place to stay, that's my first priority. When we arrived, the hotel had assigned us a room on the first floor, near an exit. Perfect.
Not so perfect, when we arrived, we learned that the hotel has a 50lb weight limit for pets. The front desk waived that, so the surprise was mitigated. On the other hand, we also learned that there is a previously undisclosed $50 pet fee. Surprise again! The hotel really ought to include these requirements on its web page. Hotel surprises at the end of a day on the road are unwelcome.
So I recommend that you call and check before reserving a room online.
Note: filling out this form was annoying because it got rejected for not clicking certain boxes.
