It's called Hospitality! Arrived at 4AM after being stuck behind a terrible traffic jam due to an accident. Upon arrival, I stood at the desk for over 5 mins without anyone coming out to greet and check me in. I was coughing loudly and yelled out "Hello" a few times but still nothing. I then called the main hotel number to get someone on the phone. The front desk rep came out from the back and acted as if I was bothering her for trying to check in. She told me three times that she didn't have me in the system for a reservation and challenged me about whether I had the correct hotel. At this point, I was very tired and just not in the mood but I kept my cool and showed her a screen shot of the reservation confirmation. She found it and handed me my room key and hurriedly went into the back to resume whatever it was she was doing prior to my arrival. Very similar treatment at check out. No smiles, no "Welcome", no "Thank you for staying here" at check out, or "Please Come back again." I will not be staying at this hotel again.

The hostess at Breakfast was a gem. She gave diners cheer and a real interest in their comfort. She gave a family a map and told them what was interesting to see. She asked me about my family who were looking for a house to buy. Her motherly care was so heart-warming.
The desk clerk was also very friendly and very efficient.

The staff was flexible in accommodating our late check-in. The comfortable bed was welcome after a long day of sightseeing. The room and bathroom were very clean. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

I recently visited the Holiday Inn Express in Richmond and had a wonderful, high quality experience. The hotel was immaculate, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast offered a range of options. What stood out for me most- was the curteous, knowledgable staff, who exhibited a core focus on quality, which was consistent and valued. The team working at this location should be commended for performing at a very high level for customer service.

This is my second stay at this particular Holiday Inn. I chose it again for it's cleanliness/good customer service and I was not disappointed with my recent stay. The employee who runs the breakfast area does a very good job - everything is clean and well stocked - hot breakfast items were hot - the coffee was very good! The hotel rooms were clean and room service was efficient. We also enjoyed the pool area although it was not open for the first two days of our stay. The ice maker was broken on our floor so we had to travel to another floor to get ice.
This hotel is in very close proximity to shopping and a variety of restaurants.

Very relaxing stay at this hotel. My wife slept great which she rarely does.'
Only one thing that I would change would be to move the smoking area outside the hotel further away from the front entrance. Way too close.

This hotel was a great choice. The staff was awesome, hotel was quiet and clean. Anything you need was very close. Would highly recommend this property. If you stay you must eat at the restaurant next door the food was great.
