Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by clean rooms, comfortable bed, good breakfast we reserved a number of rooms for our daughter's college graduation. We had a good experience except there was no effort to help us with an early checkin- even though we had already checked into one room for an extra night. The breakfast service got overwhelmed on both Saturday and Sunday, but the staff on hand did her best to keep up. May 19, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service This has to be one of the nicest Holiday Inn Expresses in the Richmond. I know because I have stayed at almost all of them. The staff was very nice and fast at check-in. The ladies who ran the breakfast area were friendly and quick to resupply the food. Checkout was simple. Great place to stay. May 6, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by bathroom The hotel was attractive and appeared to be very nice. The room appeared clean, but the bathroom in the room was FILTHY! There were large amounts of hard, dried hair conditioner or soap dripping down the walls of the shower. There was long black hair dried onto two of the three walls of the shower and there was a substancial amount of dried on soap in the soap dish mounted on the wall in the shower. We checked in rather late, but at 8:50am the maid was BANGING on the door trying to get in the room to clean it. It seemed pretty obvious to me that we hadn't checked out of the hotel, and checkout time wasn't until 12 noon...so why bang on the door to clean so early? After speaking with the manager she credited my credit card for the room charge, which should have been done at a minimum and I was happy with that, but I'm not sure it made me feel very confident that perhaps the rest of the room was just as filthy as the bathroom. Very disapointed! April 15, 2013
