Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not what we have come to expect from H.I.E. We arrived later that normal and the hotel was pretty full. Normally I get a great room and great service at all of the H.I.E. that I have stayed with. However everything in our room felt wed (damp) from the furniture to the bedding and even the walls which led to lousy nights sleep for my family. I can see mole setting up in that room (204) very soon. We tried to make adjustments to the AC but nothing worked. Also the chairs in the dinning area were the worst I've seen in a hotel like this, they were ready for some serious upholstery work or for the trash heap. I did report these items to the new G.M. and hopefully they will be worked on as soon as possible. On a good note as usual the staff was excellent and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was very good. Thank you - RB November 8, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Honest Staff I left my wedding ring and called about 3 hours after we were on the road back home. I called the front desk and they went to the room to look for my ring. It was found and they immediately returned it to me by mail the next day. How many times do you run into a staff that is honest and trustworthy to that extent? I can't tell you enough how appreciative I am to the staff for their help. Thank you Holiday Inn! Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Filthy When the first interaction with the hotel staff is a lie, I knew it was going to be a bad stay. I arrived early to the hotel (before normal check-in hours). I asked the lady at the front desk if I was able to check in early. She replied "I'm sorry but we have a lot of late checkouts today. You can try checking in at 3:00PM. Give me your phone # & I will call you if anything is available sooner". I gave her my # and walked out. As I was in the parking lot I noticed only 4 vehicles in the parking lot. How can there so many late checkouts with just 4 vehicles at the hotel? I would be fine with "Sorry sir the rooms are not ready...they need to be cleaned". While sitting in the parking lot I noticed other hotel guests checking in early...around 1:45PM. So I went in and checked myself in. SO MUCH FOR THAT CALL. While there it looked like a ticker-tape parade had been held in the hallways. I don't think the halls were vacuumed at all during my stay. The elevator has vinyl floor which obviously needed a good mopping. I travel quite a bit, as you can see I am a Spire member. I WILL NOT stay at this hotel nor recommend it to any of my coworkers when we have work in the Jackson, MS area. October 5, 2015
