This hotel is very well maintained and a good value. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is an indoor pool. The staff is efficient and welcoming. The location, right off I-77, makes it a great place to stop off for the night.

I travel regularly for my job with the State. This is only the second Holiday Inn Express that I have stayed at in West Virginia that doesn't have a refrigerator in every room. The other was in Logan, WV. Since I spend 3-4 nights a week in a hotel, having one is important to me. I should have read the room descriptions, but didn't based on previous experience. I checked out the next day and moved up to Mineral Wells.
If you are just passing through and need a place to spend a night, it's a great hotel on par with other HI Expresses, but it's not likely I'd stay here again. If a refrigerator is something you need, be aware you only get it if you pay for a suite, not a regular room.
I also recall that the guy that checked me in seemed indifferent and like he wanted to be somewhere else. Don't recall being recognized as a Priority Club member.

Room was nice. The breakfast server was fantastic, the best we have seen at any hotel we have stayed. The reason for the Average score was due to the front desk gentlemen never around or making accusations. He blamed us for why the one of the keys did not work when first given to us. Several times we came to the front desk and he was not to be found. He would appeared from outside smoking or around the corner watching TV.

This is truly a Holiday Inn that gives you the feeling of being at home. Even the other guests are so relaxed they are friendly too. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The breakfast room is well cared for with a nice selection of foods. I appreciated the cleanliness and freshness of how the room and the foods are cared for. A nice place to stay in a little town.

Nice clean place to stay. A little disapointed with the staff when I arrived at the hotel for check in. They weren't rude, but didn't go out of their way to be hospitable either. Most places I stay thank me for being a priority club (platinum) member and offer either a drink or snack. Wasn't thanked or offered anything here.
