We arrived at 2:15 am while traveling to Myrtle Beach SC, when we arrived we had two rooms and I stood outside ringing the door bell and knocking on the outside door. This took place for about 15 minutes before someone appeared at the front desk to let me in. When I arrived at the desk the staff was courteous and friendly and was helpful. The room was clean and the beds were of good quality. The toilet in the bathroom was very loose and would not flush correctly. When checking out I asked if my Priority Club number had been applied they advised that it would be applied.
Overall not a bad place just needs some maintenance and TLC.

the hotel was hard to get to even though it is right next to I95. The problem is they didn't have the access road street lights on. That plus no signage made us drive by twice before figuring how to get there just after sunset. Staff when they were available were fine. Seemed like they spent more time in the kitchen then at the front desk. Room was clean but strangely laid out as you walked through the bathroom area to get to the bedroom. Reasonably clean and quiet.

We had gotten this referral from a Holiday Inn Express in another town north of here. I called and made reservations as we were travelling through.
The night was uneventful but when we got ready to leave and have breakfast - there was no place to sit and a LOT of the occupants looked like the manager/owner's family...about a dozen or so young people in native dress. They have to eat also but they could have waited until a more convenient time.
Also,,,,,there were NO "signature" cinnamon rolls. Had there been, I could have at least taken a few for the road. Thankfully there was a McDonald's close by!

The room that I stay in had plenty of space. The bed was very worn out , soft not a good night rest. The rooms need upgrading. Only was there for (1) night after a long travel. So I don't know what the rest of the hotel was like.

Recently had extended stay here due for business purposes. Staff was extremely pleasant, friendly, and helpful. During visit, door lock ran out of batteries late at night. Alice (manager) came to the HIE to replace the batteries from her home in the middle of the night.
Room was always kept clean and fully stocked with necessities. Hotel itself is old and needs remodeled.
No personal laundry facilities on site. Exercise room adequate for most. No weights. Overall, a great experience.

We’ve been recurring guests during the holidays and have NEVER experienced such poor service, definitely below your standards. As a frequent guest and club member I am very familiar with them. Here is a recap of our experience: Day: 12-24 keys didn’t work had them updated at front desk. Day: 12-25 came back late to find the room was not serviced. Called to notify and request only fresh towel delivery due to late hour. In all my years of travel THIS has never happened to me. Found a rather unapologetic attitude when the towels were delivered. Day: 12-26 on the way out I asked the front desk attendant to make sure the room was serviced and explained why. Reaction“you’ve got to be kidding me”. We return only to find that the key didn’t work, AGAIN. Went to the front desk and this time asked to speak to the manager, only to be told that a manager was not available (really? In a hotel there is always a manager on duty). Explained all the problems to the front desk attendant and rather than focus on managing the customer’s experience (ours) both the front desk and housekeeping attendants rambled on with excuses as to why the problems surfaced. Day: 12/27 checked out, front desk attendant asked about our stay, told her it was terrible. She remembered me and although this was the last chance to make a good impression, she chose ramble on with excuses and had the audacity to say that the “do not disturb” sign was on our door, reasons for which the room was not serviced. I couldn’t believe that she was blaming me?! Even if that were the case, which it wasn’t as they had been told repeatedly, any customer service professional would know not to aggravate matters and blame the customer, under ANY circumstances. TAKE AWAYS: mine: NEVER stay again! Holiday Inn: monitor your standards and learn how to manage the customer’s expectation, this time around nobody tried to even offer any satisfaction.

My husband and I were only there for overnight, but we had a good night's rest. And enjoyed a great breakfast before continuing our trip to visit our grandchildren for Christmas.
