Absolutely the best front desk staff I have encountered in any hotel.
The hotel was super clean, quiet and has a perfect location if you are doing any type of business in the Rockville, MD area.

We stayed here on our first visit to Washington D.C.. This was a perfect fit for us. The price was reasonable. The room was very clean and we realized on the second night, how very quiet our room was. Beds and pillows were great! This hotel is located just across from the Metro station, so the commute into DC was easy. Parking is extra (and stated on their website, so not a surprise) but also very reasonable and in a covered garage. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Hello there, i tend to visit your hotels quite alot on my trips abroad, and in all of the holiday express inn's i've encounted so far, complementry parking was provided.
I have to admit, that the fee required to park in your holiday inn express, hurt my experience during this last visit in your hotel.
I'm overall very satisified with your hotel, though the parking issue did realy bother me.

The stay was fine but the heater was very loud and would wake me up during the night.
Chocolate chip cookies would have been nice.

It was an easy reservation process online - 2 doubles for 3 adults. I had also called and was quoted a slightly more expensive rate and different room on the phone. On arrival, we had been upgraded(I hadn't asked for it) but when we got to the room it turned out to be a room with 1 double bed. It was then decided that I would get a roll-away bed, and extra towels would be brought to the room. However, a crib was set up and there were no extra towels. Staff was responsive and rectified the situation. Word of caution- the roll-away was not comfortable, the mattress was thin and soft, one could feel the springs through it. Also this upgraded room seemed no different from the 2 doubles I had when I stayed a month ago. I am not sure what upgrading really meant. We didn't bother asking for a change as we had a very busy schedule and did not want to change rooms.
We chose to stay here again this time because of its location, proximity to shops/ restaurants, attentive staff, free breakfast and wifi, clean, safe hotel, quiet rooms and comfortable beds. I would stay here again, but I would be careful if upgrades were offered and I would not get a roll-away bed.

I've always enjoyed my stay at any Holiday Inn. The Holiday Inn EXpress Rockville exceeded my expectations. For the first time EVER at any hotel chain, a magnifying mirror was available. It is installed in the bathroom. I admit that I would prefer that a vanity area be available OUTSIDE the bathroom wherein a lady can take advantage of a full-length mirror, a 10X magnifying mirror, a shelf for holding make-up, a tissue-box installed on the wall, electrical outlets, and hooks for the hair dryer (and straightener?#. With a vanity area in the bedroom area, someone else can be taking their shower while I put on my face. Come on, HIE. Be the first to offer #and advertise) this feature for the women who like to travel.

Parking is separate and in a parking garage. If the first level is full you have to park on the 5th or 6th floors...not convenient at all. And it costs $8.00 to park...not mentioned when registering.

This is my second stay and once the hotel had lots of 8th graders on a trip to DC. I never heard a sound. Such a comfortable hotel in a great location, I highly recommend it.

Overall stay was good. Upon check-in, staff did not notify customers of hotel shuttle service as a result we walked in the cold and dark to a nearby restaurant. Shuttle service would have been more useful for this purpose. Hotel lobby should offer decaf and teas throughout the day especially in the cold, brisk weather during this time.
Other than that, stay was great!!

I stayed one night. Arrived late and left early. The room was very clean, well layed out. Internet access was good, bed was comfortable. Service at the front desk was excellent. I would stay there again.

Super-comfortable bed, with selection of (labeled) firm and soft pillows. Had a great night's sleep. Staff was friendly and efficient. Front desk got me a taxi/car service to a destination 30-40 min away very quickly and with a minimum of fuss.

When tried to make reservations for our annual trip to the property, we couldn't find it and were surprised to see that it had been converted to a Holiday Inn Express. We were attached to the hotel and had concerns about the new ownership. We were very pleased with our experience. The appointments are the same and the level of service was as good as always. Comfortable beds and pleasant rooms. The breakfast bar was reasonable and well kept up. We look forward to returning for our next trip to the area.

Booked Executive King a month in advance, paid in advance for three adults. Hotel sent confirmation and welcome 3 days before check-in Thanksgiving eve.
Upon arrival, given key to regular king room. When discussing with desk , was told all their suites were undergoing renovation, and all they had for three adults was a double bed room. The bath was tiny with only the designer sink sides for items, no counter. The desk said no manager would be on duty until the Friday following Thanksgiving. Was finally credited with the price difference in the rooms, and the staff on duty were as helpfull as could be. Still have not received any explanation for the foul up.
Will call desk next time to confirm room choice!
Breakfast was excellent. Lobby was tiny and not welcoming.

Close to Metro station (across the street) and plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. Only complaint is that the lobby is not well marked from the road (it's on the side of the building and down a ramp) and our room smelled like a cat had been in there at some point and urinated. Other than that, it was pretty nice place.

I have to admit that when I saw the room price, my first thought was "what is wrong that the price is that cheap?" I took the chance and was more than impressed. Super clean, friendly helpful staff, a block away from the metro and lots of good restaurants nearby. This is my new DC hotel.

We were looking for a place to stay while attending parent weekend at AU. We chose this location for the fair cost and location near the METRO, which is a block from the property. From the minute we walked in all the staff greeted us warmly. The lobby was comfortable, easy check-in, elevators easliy accessed (directly across from the main entry) and had a complimentary coffee table set up, nice touch. The room was clean, bed comfortable, bath clean/well stocked and everything worked. The breakfast was good with a selection to suit most everyone. The breakfast location was a bit awkward to get to but not a drawback. as the title says..Great room, service, staff and location!! We will be back!!

Good place, clean. Staff are nice and friendly. Unique negative point was the day that I arrived when my bedroom was invaded by smell of cigarrette and I needed to request a bedroom change. The location of hotel is good (neighborhood, shopping plaza, bus and metro station near of the hotel). I had shuttle service to my work destination the two days of the event (to leave and to look for myself).

The management and all staff were very helpful when I had to change my payment modalities at short notice and had to cancel the room early. the hotel and the rooms are very clean, modern, and the interior in excellent condition. Walk to metro, and easy connection to downtown Washington for work.
