We reserved a King room, but were upgraded to a Suite presumably because we're are IHG Rewards Club Platinum members. No one told me this was the reason - so a little more communication on why would be nice. Normally I wouldn't complain, but there were complaints about the room so maybe a regular King room would be better.
The main complaint was that the two heaters/air conditioners in the room would not allow the fan to run - the heat or A/C had to be on at all times. I finally had to get up in the middle of the night and turn it off because it was too hot - then turn it back on when it got too cold. Fixing it so the fan would run would greatly improve the air temperature.
The second complaint was the decor in the living/kitchen area. I would expect a couch in a suite this large and a nicer table/chairs in the dining area that aren't from the 1970's. The kitchen isn't a kitchen. It has the same amenities as a regular Holiday Inn Express room, just put in a much larger area making it seem awkward. Again, I'd expect a suite to be "more" and "better" - not just a larger version of a regular room.
The size of the rooms was great and there would be room for many more than 2 people, but only one king bed. A few smaller items - it took 5 minutes for the toilet tank to fill back up. There were some hairs in the shower. And there was a crack along the entire width of the sink in the bathroom. (The other sink at the vanity area was not cracked.) And last, but not least - the vent from the bathroom to the kitchen area was filthy.
Overall, we would not sleep in that room again - and not knowing if other rooms had the same problem with the heat/cool/fan we'd rather just skip this hotel altogether. The only difference between a regular room and a suite is the size. Luckily, IHG has plenty of other options in the area. The breakfast was just like any other Holiday Inn Express breakfast. The rolls are SPECTACULAR!

It was a comfortable stay. Room was very clean and staff was very friendly. We stayed one night over the weekend and everything was as nice as expected based on previous reviews except one thing that in the information book in the room, it says breakfast buffet opens till 11 AM on Saturday and Sunday while in fact, we found it was closed at 10 AM. Fortunately, the staff working in the buffet area was kind enough to let us get some breakfast stuffs from the kitchen when we went there at 10:30 AM.

The man at the front desk greeted me by name and welcomed me back in a cheerful manner with eye contact and a smile. I was able to check in early. My room was quiet and clean. House keeping did a very nice job.

Rooms were clean.
Breakfast area was way to cold.
Need to update Heater in rooms. Was no way to regulate temperature.

Room was clean, breakfast was tasty and clean. Plenty of seating. Hotel would benifit from a back door to access back parking lot. Front desk staff was really very helpful and nice.
Fitness room was pretty good with enough machines to p revent crowding.
