on this visit I have seen several improvments since my last visit. such as new tv's, parking lot and landscaping renovations. Very nice staff but still would like to see the pool fixed. But overall great experience and like staying here.

All personnel I encountered were professional and helpful, when needed. I'm on the road 3 weeks out of each month for the most part. I'm one of those who appreciate consistency which I get with the IHG company.
One suggestion: It would be great if the fridge had a freezer compartment.
Hopefully the pool will be repaired soon.
I wish there was a Holiday Inn closer to Trion.

The room was comfortable, had some problems with one TV remote and a plug in the bathroom, but even so the room was clean and comfortable. I do feel the price was a little high for each night and were not able to use any type of additional discounts. I think the front desk staff could have been a little more cordial to guests, at times they seemed to ignore the guests and did not respond to requests.

I recommend this hotel for the Rome Ga area. There was some construction on the driveway on June of 2014 that made it slightly inconvenient, it would have been more inconvenient if our vehicle had low ground clearance. Also if you plan on using the pool you should call ahead and make sure it is going to be open. Otherwise a great stay.

I have stayed in this hotel about 30 times over the last two years. It has gotten worse each time I have stayed there. The pool has fallen off the hill side, the drive into the hotel is a gravel hump, and my bathroom was disgusting. I think my pillows were as old as the hotel. At check in was given an internet access code that would not work and I was told I must be doing something wrong not allowing access, thank goodness for my personal hot spot on my phone. Breakfast was marginal at best. Do yourself a favor stay somewhere else.

Overall Good Hotel, very clean. It was a nice stay and the hotel had a clean feeling to every aspect. There was some construction and obviously the pool was closed.
Only issue is the bathroom floor tile in the bathroom is loose and cracking whoever installed the bathroom tub and tile work didn't do a good job. The hotel should recall them or look at replacing cracked tiles.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay very much. The hotel was new and everything was nice inside the hotel. Outside, however, the parking lot was being worked on and there was an apparent problem with the architecture of the surrounding sidewalk and pool. This caused the pool to be closed which was a disappointment to myself and my son. I was in Rome, Georgia for work back in April and recall the parking lot being torn up back then. Not sure what is taking so long to complete the repairs. I have been a Platinum Club member for a number of years and was used to the front desk people asking me if I wanted an upgrade if it was available. The person at the desk did not offer this upgrade even though one ended up being available. This caused a delay getting a room because she initially booked us into a standard room. She was very nice about the room change and was very efficient in getting it changed over. The only thing that really bothered me about the stay was when I went down for breakfast. The pancake machine was having a problem and I reported it to the attendant on duty. She was in the kitchen at the time and nodded with acknowledgment of my problem. However, several minutes went by before she appeared in the breakfast room. Instead of attending to the pancake machine she brought out some rolls for another area of the breakfast room. At that point she returned to the kitchen. Another guest who was also waiting on the pancake machine also went into the preparation room and reported the problem. After another several minutes went by without her returning to the floor, I went to the front desk asked if the woman spoke English because the lady seemed to be ignoring our request. She replied that the woman did speak English but that she would speak to her. Once she did this, the woman soon entered with the replacement bag for the pancake machine. She struggled to get the new bag in place and working but eventually it did and it worked well. I am not sure why it took that much to get her to fix the machine. There were very few people in the breakfast room and only the two of us had an immediate need.

Excellent service from the receptionist –provided us with a large king room that was clean and comfortable. Spotless bathroom with lots of towels and toiletries and a large flat screen TV. Complimentary parking and fast internet access and an excellent breakfast with lots of choice including freshly made pancakes and cinnamon rolls. Good selection of restaurants a short drive away.

Just a bad experience. Upon arrival, I had to jump a curb to enter the property. They are doing construction on the real entrance, but low clearance cars BEWARE. From my room, I could see why the pool was closed; there were TV boxes all over the top of the liner. Who doesn't have their pool open in the summer?
After the initial issues, the bed was comfortable, and room was clean. These were the highlights.
The next morning, took the kids down to "breakfast", and dang, what a horrible breakfast it was. When kids won't eat the food, even the cinnamon rolls, then you need to consider this. The eggs were watery, the biscuits were hard, the bacon was just plain nasty and limp, the cinnamon rolls were hard and unetible. The bright spot of the breakfast was the pancake maker, which did produce a pancake. That is about it.
I frequent Holiday Inn Express hotels, but good grief. Oh, and while the pool is closed and the entrance jacked up, they are still charging full price on the rooms. Won't get another dime from me.

The only complaint was that the driveway was under construction and you had to use a make shift driveway and the swimming pool was not available. The swimming pool was not as much a problem as the driveway. My wife and I were driving a cooper and it dragged when we used. I would have been nice if we had be informed of the construction. I glad I was using my reward points and not paying for he room.

For my overall stay, I feel that other hotels in the area would provide what I need for my purpose being in the military. Other hotels in the area give a greater discount to military personnel. For that reason, I will probably seek other means of comfort in a nearby hotel when I return next month. Great facility and staff and I thank you for your overall product.

There was almost no wifi in my room for 3 nigh! I had a very difficult time to do work. On the other hand, the room was clean and had relatively more comfortable mattress than other holiday inn hotels.

The outside was a major mess. Gravel parking w/ avoiding debris in the area. Early morning construction was disruptive on sleep and relaxation. No notice of this condition from the company website. I am a frequent Holiday Inn Express person and this was surprising. If the room was discounted it would have made a difference in expectation. But full price didn't deliver full experience.
Be careful going there until it is completed.
Oh, the pool is closed during at least the part of renovation currently underway. For morning reading to relax,.. unacceptable.

Clean towels were not exchanged appropriately.
Consummied coffee was not replaced on a daily basis..
Fresh coffee was not available throughout the day and evening.
Swimming pool has not been functioning for the past several years.
Drainage has been a problem each time over the past several years.
Wi-fi connect has to be established each time that you turn on your iPad.
I missed the afternoon freshly baked cokies.
