Friendly staff, clean, comfortable, airport parking located behind with long term parking included in your stay. Hotel is right next to the airport with prompt shuttle service 24/7. Great restaurants around. I highly recommend this hotel. August 17, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Another Great Night We always park at the Qwik Park on Merriman Road near the Detroit Airport when we are flying out on vacation. The Holiday Inn Express make it so convenient for us with their Park and Fly Package, being from Canada we like to stay overnight when we have an early flight. Staff is excellent and the place is beautiful and clean. We get up to early (flight was 6 am) so we do not use the free breakfast but heard it is wonderful. Check in is seamless and check out was great, the bill was left under our door and if you agree with it you are done. No morning line ups to check out. If you are flying from DTW check out this hotel, you will not be sorry. August 14, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Customer Service Service personnel showed lack of respect and attention to customer needs at checkin and checkout. I stayed at this location due to its proximity to the DTW airport. Upon arrival customer service rep was disrepectful and had very poor attitude. Once I finished checking in I asked for a wake up call since I had an early flight, The call never came. I missed my flight. All the person at the counter could say the next morning was oh sorry well we forgot. How does that happen, we forgot. Nothing about how can we help you out? What can we do for you? Total lack of customer service. That is the total reason I stayed at the hotel was so I would be close to the airport.Fortunately USAirways knows all about customer service. They were able to get me onto the next flight no questions asked just good old how can we help you! I will never stay at this property again. You need to review your hiring of personnel and customer service training. Your business is all about customers and how to serve them better. August 12, 2014
