Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great staff and always clean I stay several time a month at the HIE. I enjoy being there, and the staff is polite and accommodating. They need to add new sheer curtains however, and improve how the key cards work. But overall, I always have a good stay. September 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Visit to Detroit Nice and clean hotel, modern look rooms with convenient reading lights on the bed headboard. Internet speed was excellent and does have any issues or drop signal. Housekeeping personnel do an excellent job on the room cleanliness. There is a feature on the TV called G-link, this is excellent because you can plug your laptop or other device on it and see the content on TV Screen. With high speed internet and your movie on demand service you are set to have an excellent movie time. September 6, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Would not come back First off the bed had what felt like a plastic cover under the sheet, I found to be very uncomfortable (I'm an adult and I don't need plastic sheets#. The first day of my stay I went to get a cup of coffee that evening to find it was all cold. The next morning at breakfast #which had only been open for an hour) the biscuits were hard and crumbled apart , and the susage was dry and cold. The morning that I checked out I was the clerk at the desk to email me my receipt. He was very put off by this and had a bad attitude about the matter. Emailing the receipt may be something to consider as an option to paper, I have to email all my receipts so having it sent to me saves my the step of scanning then emailing it to my office, this would also save IHG paper and time delivering them to every room if an electronic copy would be prefered. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Renovated Renovated hotel, exterior looks great but poor infrastructure remains. In our first room the toilet did not work properly and the air conditioner was on its last legs. Second room was much better, however, electronic keys would work after 5 or 6 tries. Came across one lady in corridor in the morning locked out of her room because of the key problem. Staff was having trouble opening the door for her with their master key. We will not stay here again. Disappointed that Holiday Inn Express name attached to this place. September 2, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very poor treatment from staff I made my reservations for two rooms and requested cribs for both rooms. I made these reservations in May. I am plantium elite member and when we arrived, I was told they did not have any cribs left; one room had a crib but the other one did not. We did not get any sleep because our one year old granddaughter did not sleep all night. She literally stayed up until 2:30 in the morning before she fell asleep. We had to get up at 3:30 to catch a flight at 5:45 am. The staff were not helpful nor did they offer to provide us with anything, except more pillows. I will never stay here again. I would think as a plantium elite member and because I made my reservations in May, they would have reserved two cribs for us; one for each room we paid for. August 31, 2014
